A legacy of deforestation has left Ethiopia struggling with more intense flooding and drought. The country is trying to restore its native forests through one of the world's most ambitious and well-funded tree-planting campaigns, but experts question whether the trees will survive. Will A.I. make our brains lazy? We took a look at the latest research and found some troubling signals
Are we living in a simulation and could it connect science with religion? 🤯
A growing debate around simulation theory has raised fascinating questions about the nature of reality. MIT-trained computer scientist Rizwan Virk argues that if humanity were ever proven to exist inside an advanced simulation, it would not necessarily conflict with Christian beliefs and could even provide a modern framework for ideas that religions have explored for centuries.
The simulation hypothesis suggests that our universe could be an artificial reality created by a higher intelligence similar to an incredibly advanced computer-generated environment. Some researchers and philosophers have compared the concept of a “creator” or “higher intelligence” with theological ideas of God, while others view it purely as a philosophical or technological question.
While there is currently no scientific proof that we live in a simulation, the discussion highlights an intriguing intersection between artificial intelligence, physics, philosophy, and spirituality.
As AI continues to advance, one of humanity’s oldest questions remains:
What is reality and who created it?

Honey basically never goes bad. Archaeologists have tasted honey found in ancient Egyptian tombs — still edible after 3,000 years. Almost no water, natural acidity, and enzymes that release tiny amounts of hydrogen peroxide make it a place most microbes simply can't survive.

Mountainous, densely populated Japan has little land available for large solar farms, so developers are erecting arrays on many of the now disused golf courses that proliferated during the country's 1980s economic boom. Read more on E360 →

The Nobel Prize in physics goes to Francis Halzen, who figured out how to turn a cubic kilometer of Antarctic ice into an enormous neutrino detector. The resulting IceCube experiment is now studying extreme events across the universe.
Remarkable, mind-expanding research.
