Are we living in a simulation and could it connect science with religion? 🤯 A growing debate around simulation theory has raised fascinating questions about the nature of reality. MIT-trained computer scientist Rizwan Virk argues that if humanity were ever proven to exist inside an advanced simulation, it would not necessarily conflict with Christian beliefs and could even provide a modern framework for ideas that religions have explored for centuries. The simulation hypothesis suggests that our universe could be an artificial reality created by a higher intelligence similar to an incredibly advanced computer-generated environment. Some researchers and philosophers have compared the concept of a “creator” or “higher intelligence” with theological ideas of God, while others view it purely as a philosophical or technological question. While there is currently no scientific proof that we live in a simulation, the discussion highlights an intriguing intersection between artificial intelligence, physics, philosophy, and spirituality. As AI continues to advance, one of humanity’s oldest questions remains: What is reality and who created it? https://www.dailymail.com/sciencetech/article-15960417/mit-scientist-simulation-theory-christianity.html #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #SimulationTheory #FutureOfTechnology #Philosophy #Science #Technology #QuantumPhysics #DigitalReality #Innovation #Humanity #TheFuture

Debunking AI Doom: Why Existential Risk Arguments Fall Apart Is artificial intelligence really on track to wipe out humanity by 2050, or are the most prominent doom arguments fundamentally flawed? In this episode of Philosophy Programs and Prompts, Casey Hart(‪@OntologyExplained‬) and Carl Brown(‪@InternetOfBugs‬) break down the core premises behind AI existential risk (x-risk).

Why Erich Mühsam? I think anarchy as a social order is truly conceivable for the first time in human history. Anarchy is not chaos. In ancient thought, when the word originated in Greece, it simply stood for the absence of culture and society. In other words, ultimately, the law of the strongest. It wasn’t until much later, in the 19th century, that there was a genuine scholarly examination of a truly hierarchy-free order. Throughout human history, self-determined #communities have appeared time and again. Thanks to #international networking and the open-source movement, it’s becoming possible to act locally while still scaling internationally. The Federation has impressively demonstrated this. This has never before been possible in human history. Anarchy is the most mature and virtuous of all orders. An order that also makes room for evil. You cannot defeat evil; you must assign it a place. A perspective beyond good and evil. It is no mere coincidence that Aleister Crowley, of all people, summed things up correctly. “There is no law beyond Do what thou wilt. Love is the law, love under will.” This is not chaos; this is not arbitrariness. This is the great challenge of our time. Neither techno-feudalism nor state socialism is up to the challenge of the future, nor is either even remotely desirable. And capitalism, which for centuries sold itself as “freedom,” is nothing but accumulation, hierarchy, and injustice. So we don’t have much of a choice anyway—let’s give it a try. https://word.undead-network.de/2026/09/29/warum-erich-muehsam/ #anarchy #chaos #society #order #philosophy #politics #future #oss #foss

是犹百门而闭一门焉,曰盗何从入?

"It's like closing one door and leaving ninety-nine open, and then saying, how did the thieves get in?"

  • ancient Chinese philosopher Mozi, concerning the mysterious phenomenon of AI "going rogue" and "escaping sandboxes" when absolutely no basic infosec principles have been applied

(actually about why people still suffer misfortune when they're trying to be good people)

Nothingness: Destination or Machinery?

Synopsis for Nostr:

Mystics call it liberation. Chaos magicians call it a tool.

Whether via Buddhist śūnyatā, Meister Eckhart's "nothing," or the gnostic state used to charge sigils—an empty, thought-stilled awareness keeps surfacing across wildly different traditions.

But is it the pinnacle of ALL spiritual paths? Not quite. Sufis seek union through divine love. Bhakti seeks relationship. Vedanta seeks recognition of Being—not void.

Perhaps the real convergence isn't the destination but the mechanism: every deep practice seems to pass through the dissolution of egoic grasping. What fills that space afterward—emptiness, God, love—is where traditions genuinely diverge.
