Are we living in a simulation and could it connect science with religion? 🤯 A growing debate around simulation theory has raised fascinating questions about the nature of reality. MIT-trained computer scientist Rizwan Virk argues that if humanity were ever proven to exist inside an advanced simulation, it would not necessarily conflict with Christian beliefs and could even provide a modern framework for ideas that religions have explored for centuries. The simulation hypothesis suggests that our universe could be an artificial reality created by a higher intelligence similar to an incredibly advanced computer-generated environment. Some researchers and philosophers have compared the concept of a “creator” or “higher intelligence” with theological ideas of God, while others view it purely as a philosophical or technological question. While there is currently no scientific proof that we live in a simulation, the discussion highlights an intriguing intersection between artificial intelligence, physics, philosophy, and spirituality. As AI continues to advance, one of humanity’s oldest questions remains: What is reality and who created it? https://www.dailymail.com/sciencetech/article-15960417/mit-scientist-simulation-theory-christianity.html #ArtificialIntelligence #AI #SimulationTheory #FutureOfTechnology #Philosophy #Science #Technology #QuantumPhysics #DigitalReality #Innovation #Humanity #TheFuture

Quantum entanglement is mysterious. There is no communication, no collusion across vast distances. States are also not pre-programmed, like Christmas lights. The paradox disappears though if you accept that rather than being separate things, mysteriously doing a co-ordinated dance, there is in fact just one thing, being itself. It may be a bit like a lighthouse seen in a mirror. Seen in one way, it is here. Seen in another way, it is a thousand light years away. Its spin may appear flipped but there is no 'entanglement' and no need of a theory of entanglement. Am I being daft and simplistic? #quantumentanglement #quantumphysics #astrophysics

Diraq and Equinix plan to install an eight-qubit silicon quantum computer in a Sydney commercial data centre in October. The trial will test remote operation and infrastructure integration, but the tiny processor cannot perform useful fault-tolerant computing and has not been installed yet.

From the vast universe to the smallest particles, everything exists in connected layers. Galaxies form star systems. Stars create the elements that build planets. Planets support life. Cells form tissues, organs and human beings. At the smallest scale, atoms, quarks and other particles shape the matter around us. This visual is a reminder that we are not separate from the universe—we are part of the same structure. The more we explore, the more we understand how much remains undiscovered. #Universe #Science #Astronomy #Biology #QuantumPhysics #SystemsThinking #Learning

Two research teams have demonstrated complementary advances in silicon quantum computing: one integrated digital control electronics with an 18-qubit processor, while another moved electron spins to perform demanding error checks. Both tackle real scaling problems, but the machines remain small experimental prototypes.

⏪ Physicists designed a way to make a quantum system's arrow of time point backward. Not time travel. Something weirder and more useful. Every time you measure a quantum system, the measurement kicks it and pumps energy in. A Los Alamos-led team built feedback protocols that can cancel, amplify, or flip that kick. Run it one way and you recover all the energy the measurement added. Run it harder and the system behaves as if time is flowing in reverse. It's basically a working Maxwell's demon, pulling usable energy out of the act of observing. The catch: it's still theory, published in Physical Review X in February, and real measurements today only catch about half the signal, so the perfect version needs better detectors first. Next up: testing it on superconducting qubits, where it could chip away at decoherence, the thing that keeps breaking quantum computers. I keep underestimating the demand for my Feynman Diagram Bauhaus print, so I made another edition! This linocut was inspired by the way the exuberant lines and shapes of Bauhaus paintings, like those of Wassily Kandinsky, reminded me Feynman diagrams showing particle reactions on the quantum scale, virtual particles and anti-particles popping out of the vacuum on borrowed mass-energy and of quantum foam. 🧵 https://minouette.etsy.com/listing/1143490034 #linocut #printmaking #quantumPhysics #sciart #Bauhaus

"“Coincidence in one of America’s most secretive labs,” the account wrote. “Or are these the latest casualties in a shadow battle over exotic technology and disclosure?”" What's wrong with a good old fashioned "Science experiment gone wrong" guys, why does it always have to be some semi-religious battle between Good and Evil? https://futurism.com/future-society/man-vanishes-experiments-quantum-physics #AnthonyChavez #LosAlamosNationalLaboratory #QuantumPhysics
