My name is Israa, and I'm displaced from Gaza. I never imagined I'd be sharing my family's story this way. But when your world shrinks to a tent, and survival becomes your only goal, you start to hope that someone will listen.
I'm also a mother of three. Every day, they need food, clean water, clothes, and the most basic necessities every child deserves, yet I can't provide them. It breaks my heart to see them growing up surrounded by war, hunger, and fear, instead of safety, joy, and beautiful childhood memories. They've spent their entire childhood under the shadow of destruction, and as a mother, there's no greater pain than feeling helpless in the face of your children's suffering.
We've been living under a brutal war for almost two years. My family has been displaced more than 13 times. We've lost our home, our safety, and any semblance of normalcy. Today we live in a tent, separated from the sky only by a thin cloth, with no electricity or clean water, and barely enough food.
Everything is incredibly expensive. A few vegetables or a bag of flour cost more than we can afford. Medicine? Out of reach. Clean water? Scarce. We're not just living; we're fighting for survival.
But we don't just want to survive. We want to live. To go out. To find safety. To live our lives without suffering, without high prices, without scarcity, without annihilation.
