[artix/open-rc/iptables] Why did I have to manually load the ip_tables module? I was setting IP iptables like I have done a billion times before, but when trying to /etc/init.d/iptables save, it said that the kernel doesn’t have support for it. Wut? So I load it with modprobe, only to lose it after a reboot, so I shoved it into modules in mkinitcpio.conf, which seems to have helped. What’s going on? Are we forcibly moving on to nftables?

After my most recent hospital trips, lovely people here on fedi have been asking me what I'll need to get through the next couple of weeks given I'm disabled and under the poverty line, and my last surgery didn't go to plan😔(you can read more on my timeline). I need to recover from that physically, while also now needing to gain strength and wait for yet another surgery at the end of September due to the last one not working😅 Obviously, the setback has thrown things out of whack as far as the food and adult diapers that I currently can't do without, so given people have asked, I have taken stock of what I'll need to get through until next surgery day: *more ready meals as I don't have the ability to cook right now but need nutritious things that are pre-prepared *Two more packs of adult diapers to get me through until the next surgery date. The total cost is $237.15. That will mean I'm fed, and able to rest and recover from my last hospital stay and surgery(where they added another stent), and give myself the best possible chance of being alright to go into the next surgery and have that be a success(and recovery be smooth). Sometimes I find myself thinking about the day when in a #support call: everyone from #Microsoft said that the thing about #SharePoint that I argued for was incorrect and I was wrong, until the person who shared their screen finally opened the docs and everyone on the call not only saw that the docs word-by-word said the exact same thing as I was telling them, but also that I was one of the community authors of their newly open-sourced documentation and basically I wrote the documentation on the subject... The call got a bit weird after that 😅 #BiggestIToldYouSoMoment
