Es ist nicht die breite Bevölkerung, die ihren Job nicht macht.

@skeletor@mas.to As cool as it looks, it always feels low-key insulting when He-Man comes in with the double axe, like the Sword of Power isn't even needed for this one.

@LaChasseuse I'd say their behavior tracks with what we read in Moby Dick, but unlike sharks or dolphins, sperm whales don't have prominent vertical fins. 🤔

@starrytimepod Shots taken from what appears to be some distance outside the ship always feel so precarious, even though the camera + whatever structure is holding it are meticulously engineered and also not currently subject to a surrounding atmosphere or relativistic speeds.

@themediumkahuna@tech.lgbt Widespread ageism aside, in most professions you'd still get concerned questions when carrying on well past retirement age.
"Can you not afford to stop working?"
"Is there nothing else for you to enjoy?"
But somehow it's entirely normal for the most powerful people in the world to carry on, even when an army of doctors and PR people can no longer keep the dementia symptoms from leaking out, among other things.

@noondlyt The problem is unilateralism, enabled by a lack of checks and balances.
We see it in corporations consolidating everything into neat little monopolies, while operating in a complete moral vacuum and we see it in the leader of NATO announcing the annexation of territory from another member state.
