It's actually FOUR foreign parties now.

mastodon 4.7.2Important to me right now: halting climate change; fighting the resurgence of fascism; winning Scottish independence, rejoining the EU. Born at 312 ppm.
Banner is a photo of my freedom machine. There are flowering plants and a red gate in the background.
The avatar is a photo of me wearing a plaid coat with the ocean in the background. Taken somewhere near Tongue, if memory serves, by my Austrian friend, Gudrun Kocher.

Small village on the Fife coast. Can't remember which one. If anyone knows, please say as I forgot to make a note of it at the time. [It'll be Anstruther, Crail or Pittenweem]

@broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca I had this problem with an optician who proudly told me she'd had Covid three times.
This is not the planet I grew up on.
Robert Reich, always on point. 🎯
My old friend Howard has a crow friend now. I'm envious.
Former furniture shop (ghost sign) in central Edinburgh. Such a lovely use of the oddly shaped piece of land it's on. Almost all the window panes are the original ones, handmade.

The logic seems sound?

There are so many golf courses in Edinburgh, that this would likely affect the whole city!

This seems not good.

Just thinking about all those people in Ontario in the late 60s and 70s when I was growing up, who laughed at me when I told them about the Greenhouse Effect and how they should stop driving so much.
Forest fires were a rarity then, now Canadians talk about "forest fire season". See the connection, change your lifestyle, put pressure on society to ban fossil fuel use.
A friend of mine's husband is quite proud of the fact that the only flower he can recognise and name is the tulip. I've never understood that.
It may have been Tuesday today where all of you are, but where I am it was definitely a Sunday. Time is a weird thing.

Quite likely all of these people are dead now.

The problem is housing as a vehicle for profit, instead of a vehicle for wellbeing.

Wonderful!
It's pretty obvious. Wake up, politicians!

@ferryoons@mastodon.scot A lot of very bad indoctrination has gone on in that country, a lot of fanaticism.

@ferryoons@mastodon.scot I read once that when nazi bombers flew over English and European cities they'd try to avoid bombing the cathedrals, "missing" on purpose.
I dunno. I just can't get my head around how peevish and juvenile the Israelis are.

@dmnelson@mastodon.social Fireweed! Did you know that people used to use it to make tea?

@Walrus@toot.wales Considering how thinly he is spread over numerous social media platforms, it's amazing he would find time to respond to anyone at all.
I found out just recently that he was an advisor to Obama.

@wimi@social.spejset.org Fy faan, det är så trist. Hoppas det blir en förändring efter valet. 🤞🏼

@pinhman@humanwords.party Windfarms don't have to be offshore. They are quite often placed on non-arable land on hillsides for example.
I don't understand why "mini" nuclear plants are being offered to the Inuit, it's not like it's not windy up north!

@kim_harding@mastodon.scot I could've sworn it was a car-free street. Maybe in the summer...
Replying to
@ralpho@hessen.social Sadly not, in this case. It was taken with my first digital camera which had no wireless capability whatsoever.

@Neil_Campbell@mastodon.world I am also leaning towards Crail, as it has a lot of these small laneways. But no success at finding it on streetview so far.

@simon_brooke@mastodon.scot There is a quite healthy second-hand market for EVs. They are usually KIAs and Nissan LEAF, and you can often get one for about the same price as a better e-bike. Having said that, cycling and public transport are still the best option. Me, I decided to opt out of car culture early and never learned how to drive.

@ottaross@mastodon.social Is there a window/door you can open, so there's some ventilation?

@ottaross@mastodon.social Ordering new license plates sounds like something one should be able to do by post.
