The #InternetArchive. I discovered a LOT of great live shows there today that I will copy to my phone and thereby reduce my streaming of music.
-
Doctor appointment went well.
-
I have been on a creative roll lately, the ideas just keep coming for what could be a decent side gig AND a great creative outlet. I just need to strike while the iron is hot, because they are bound to dry up sometime.

Smooth transfer of my account to a new server (mstdn.party). I was happy on toot.community, but heard it was shutting down, so...
-
Cooler, less humid weather made for a more pleasant walk for both myself and my very hairy dog.
-
A relatively low-stress workday
-
Had the day off today, the culmination of a 4-day weekend.
-
Only 4 workdays this week (I swear I don't hate my job, but everyone needs a little time off from time to time).
-
Took a great tour of the #StLouis Public Library's Beaux Arts Central Library. Thanks to Kurt, our guide, and Scott in Special Collections. Highly recommended if you live in #TheLou or visit.
-
It's my Friday. I have tomorrow (actual Friday) and the following Monday off. Four-day weekend, whoo-hoo!
-
Starting a digital garden. Some technical details to iron out, but I think this may be a good solution for me.
-
Bourbon and Coke. Trying to limit my imbibing to the weekend, but see number 1 above.
-
Had the day off from work (and it's payday).
-
Spent most of it at the #StLouis Art Museum, for Free Friday. Saw the "Ancient Splendor: Roman Art in the Time of Trajan" exhibit. Really beautiful and interesting.
-
A late lunch/early dinner at our favorite neighborhood tavern. Great burgers and fries.
-
The Frank Lloyd Wright book I bought Friday after out tour of a Wright-designed house is excellent.
-
No mowing today, but I will pay for it tomorrow. Two yards to cut, but I will start early and pace myself.
-
Burgers and hot dogs on the grill, with tomato and cucumber salad for supper. Delicious and helped keep the house cool.
-
It's dark enough now in the early morning that it's possible to see some stars.
-
Friday, and a payday.
-
I found my new favorite band. https://youtube.com/watch?v=pxqJSZbmfTc&is=gVfpjgC7S6nPRoI2
Bad Moves - "Let The Rats Inherit The Earth"
-
My broken nose is much better today, only hurts when I touch it.
-
Chicken cutlets in a lemon-parmesan cream sauce over angel hair pasta for dinner.
-
Have been doing a decent job watching what I eat (no, or very few, untracked snacks). I am on track to reach my goal weight in a little over a month.
-
Got a deal on a new grill, and it was already assembled, too.
-
Spent the day shopping with my wife.
-
Cinnamon sugar pretzel bites at the mall.
-
Our neighbors' first grandchild was born today. Mom and baby both doing well.
-
Fruitful shopping trip with my wife.
-
Watched a little of a bike race in my neighborhood.
-
Spectacular cloud day today.
-
Tuesday is what passes for a slow day at work.
The Beths – Straight Line Was A Lie
-
Flipping through the channels and caught "Foul Play". Such a fun movie, they don't make them like that anymore.
-
Got my grass all cut, so that I won't have to do it next weekend after my surgery.
-
I normally take my coffee black, but lately have been indulging in what I call a Tom Hanks (because I read that he likes his this way) - coffee, a splash of milk, and a little Ovaltine.
-
My surgery on Wednesday went well.
-
After a rather rough night in the hospital, I can sleep in my own bed tonight.
-
My boss is understanding about me having to be away from work a few more days.
-
Post retina reattachment surgery doctor visit went well. All is as it should be at this point, and I can return to work on Monday.
-
During my week-long convalescence, I got reacquainted with some favorite shows (Corner Gas, Dragnet, The Prisoner) and discovered a couple of new favorites (Mr. Sloane, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds).
-
Still have a long weekend ahead before I go back to work.
-
Listened to the new #TeenageFanclub album. It's very good – mellow and laid back, with lots of their trademark harmonies.
-
Got out and drove today for the first time in over a week due to a recent surgery to reattach my retina. A little harrowing to drive one-eyed, but I will be more confident come Monday.
-
It's "National Pizza and Beer" day in the US, and we celebrated with a couple of pies from our favorite place. Sadly, no beer though.
Tomorrow People
-
Good progress made on design projects.
-
More comfortable driving one-eyed today (recovering from a detached retina).
-
All ready for my first day back to work after over a week - meals and snacks prepared and packed, clothes laid out, showered and shaved.
