penwing (they/them)

Yes sir, I *can* boogie - much to the disappointment of those nearby as arms flail wildly and I lose my balance... Well why did you have a drink on the dance floor anyway you wally! #TotP

God... I remember trying to watch This Life once when it was re-run and... Oh yawn... Should I try again? *Bops along to Black is Black* #TotP

OK, one of us has clearly done something very very bad to make all of us acceptable collateral damage on this episode... #TotP

🎶Oh woah oh🎶 🎶Video killed the radio star🎶 #TotP

Ooooh... Did I summon Blondie earlier 8-) #TotP

This guy can perform 8-) Simple but effective #TotP

Oh god... Heather Small with Proud... Another everywhere and seemingly neverending song... #TotP

And we're back to trash... Well... Trasher... "Oriental" - yikes #TotP

Well tonight started off worse than awful and got much better... #TotP

Oh ooooooooooh woah woah woah (Or something) *Boogies* #TotP

Such a performance there too 8-) #TotP

Well, this is not good... I mean it's a marked improvement over everything in the last episode, but that is a low low bar... #TotP

B&S sporting Beano T-Shirt - good choice! Top of the Tops! #TotP

Tom Jones... I am not going to throw my knickers at you #TotP

How many of us can say we've been to a gig with Rick Wakeman *and* Atomic Kitten? #TotP

🎶Hey mambo, mambo italiano🎶 *Boogies* (not sure why...) #TotP

Good god... Will there be a single good song tonight? That chorus sounded like they were trying - and failing - to channel B*Witched... #TotP

And I think the engine has just fallen out... #TotP

And she's back in a timey-wimey complicated thing... Oh, it's a replay apparently..? Totally normal... #TotP

Shake that booty! *Sings along* #TotP

*does the dance* It's like I'm back in Toffs (but that is still like 18 months away at this point...) #TotP

Waiting for @wvmann@wandering.shop to share the Sex Barn article... #TotP

@losttourist@social.chatty.monster some of us had a FunFax with a mostly empty address book in it... Not in 1979 though, I wasn't even born... #TotP

@losttourist@social.chatty.monster I blame you for summoning this... #TotP

Could Rose not have bought some Cybermen or Daleks or Autons or anything to save us from this episode..? Or is the producer the villain about to be defeated? #TotP

Who Wants to Live Forever... Please play it! Or Sinitta... Or did we use up all the good on Ottawa, Amazulu and that Funkmaster guy? #TotP

Somehow I missed The Bluetones entirely. I was at a festival a few years ago in Nottingham and Bluetones were headlining the second stage and Blondie the main stage... My cousin chose wrong and then left me there to get back to my Aunt and Uncle's on my own... (Scissor Sisters were on before Blondie - was an excellent lineup) #TotP

I'm imagining the #TotP health and safety person going "Pyrotechnics? Pyrotechnics?!? For Top of the Pops? Have Steps decided to turn evil or something?"

Bon Jovi... Finally a song I enjoyed back then... Cheesy, corny, stadium rock... Whatçs not to love? #TotP

Better music than Eurovision... Not a high bar and I don't have high hopes of you clearing it... But The Bad Touch may well help... #TotP

People do seem to be liking this one - incorrectly... #TotP

Look, Theakston, if you're going to promise us a "treat" you cannot follow it up with "it's Travis". You just can't... #TotP

Took a while to grow on me, but I enjoyed that last one by the end... #TotP

Two actual Britney performances in two different outfits... What is going on? Well, I think the backing dancers may be wearing the same clothes... #TotP

There was a wonderful Toploader? Whatever happened to them and why did the shit one get so big? (Tbf, they were OK at first...) #TotP

Ooh... Who let these women sing? This is actually painful... #TotP

Features in the musical & Juliet, one of two musicals I have left during the interval... This was the close to Act I... #TotP

You know what... This song is making me re-evaluate Candle in the Wind... #TotP

Hold on, something's wrong... A boy is singing... Are the girls ill?!? #TotP

@wvmann@wandering.shop I was looking to upstage those "Sex Barm" Wiganers... #TotP

Bad Touch and Thong Song? #TotP really is spoiling us tonight... No, no spoiling... Destroying our resolve... That's the one...

Nope... The gearbox failed and we're completely stalled again (what is with my driving metaphors tonight?) #TotP

We do not talk about plans for Nigel in public or via electronic means... #TotP

Evening folks... Madison Avenue still looking worryingly thin... I may be gay, but was this what passed for beautiful back then (yes, yes, I know, rhetorical question) And now Lodestar to bring everything to what would be a crashing halt if we'd been anything close to operating at even medium speed to begin... #TotP

Whatever happened to those heroes? Oh, you answered about Leon Trotsky so I can't be sarcastic... #TotP

I am still amazed I forgot the dance version of the Casualty theme tune... Not because it's good, but because it... Well a dance version of the Casualty theme tune... But the lead singer looking good tonight... #TotP

The Charlatans bringing us slightly back up towards first gear... Despite the outfit #TotP

Well, this is awful and being made worse... A jockstrap is closer to a thong than Siscqo will ever dare to wear though... #TotP
