@dcoderlt@ohai.social so, if you choose the option called «publish my personal data» it will, shockingly, publish your personal data. Who could've expected such a leak... @_elena@mastodon.social

@kboyd@phpc.social the part where ruby doesn't have a modern async runtime, so you have to run multiple processes, each with multiple GIL-interlocked threads, holding multiple postgres connections, which are quite heavy also from what I heard, background job processor can't run too many threads concurrently, so you have to run multiple copies of those, but I haven't retested that on modern versions @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social @WTL@mastodon.social

@cR0w@infosec.exchange wow, surprised to see Cisco & Microsoft can do something *really* helpful

@broadwaybabyto@zeroes.ca maybe you can report them somewhere? They're clearly incompetent as a doctor

@cR0w@infosec.exchange also that's probably the best user experience you can ever get from Microsoft product

...что угодно @n0icz@mastodon.ml @th3rdsergeevich@mastodon.ml

@MostlyHarmless@thecanadian.social minimalism is a scam by big small to sell more less

@androcat@toot.cat «remind me later» is disabled by default, to enable it you have to gather 360 other users @henryk@chaos.social

@cR0w@infosec.exchange hello from the other side (russia) haha lol be gay, it's a crime

@neatnik@social.lol it's very tempting to add «...if you're brave enough»

@LonM@social.vivaldi.net maybe you can suggest to write very non-optimal and long code, and then say «by the way, this 10 lines could be written as 2, and these 5 are basically not needed if we do this little change, and...» this will demonstrate practically, why good abstractions and thinking do matter a lot @sushee@ohai.social

@alice@lgbtqia.space thankfully I'm avoiding that problem by only jerkin off to drawn fictional women :blobcat_googly_dab: :tone_joke: :tone_lighthearted:

как мы дошли до того, что переключение раскладки клавиатуры (на ондроед телефоне) занимает 800мс

@Lemonid@mastodon.ml но вообще, если ожидаешь даже в ресторане получить подмешанного говна, то как ни крути — будешь принюхиваться :( херово что мы теперь везде ожидаем обмана это сильно усложняет жизнь

@cwebber@social.coop if you read the source from Jfrog, they could only reproduce RCE with ASLR (address space layout randomization) disabled ASLR is enabled by default in all mainstream kernels, so worst outcome in practice is ffmpeg crashing. Still bad, but not catastrophic

Мои поздравления, это определенно талант @Lemonid@mastodon.ml @destiny_m@shitpost.poridge.club

@troed@swecyb.com also, I believe that @nlnetlabs@social.nlnetlabs.nl grants are targeted not just to build software, but to grow skilled engineers, innovators. You know, something you can't expect from LLM

@nikitonsky@mastodon.online in the «most overengineered way to render plain text» competition they would at least got some prize, if not a total win

@adamshostack@infosec.exchange yeah, but a cons is, you may be accused of committing a cybercrime someone did through this proxy @briankrebs@infosec.exchange

@hongminhee@hollo.social also making decentralised ID just URL you fetch simplifies a lot I've read about dereferencing at:// urls[1], and it's...well, it's more like recursive DNS resolving, where you go to the registry (PLC), to get information where stuff you need is hosted (PDS), and then go there and get it sure, it gives more flexibility, but I still don't get how they're gonna decentralise PLC Blockchain is the only suitable solution I know, and in terms of efficiency they suck [1] https://overreacted.io/a-social-filesystem/

@tibibo@mastodon.ml

@davidnjoku@mastodon.world they don't, if you enable bridging for yourself and even if you don't, by default it sends a dm «someone unbridged interacted with you, here's webpage to reply» (at least for bsky->fedi interactions, but I expect it to be the same other way) @paninid@mastodon.world

@_r@donotsta.re thanks it's a recent post, and xcancel exist, here it is https://xcancel.com/drnkait/status/2079140764916097355#m @memes@wetdry.world

@troed@swecyb.com don't worry, you'll lose your skills soon :) https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-026-01947-1 @nlnetlabs@social.nlnetlabs.nl

@mister_shade02X2@mastodon.social money. Ridiculous amounts of money. Like a few million rubles just for signing contract + 300k per month, while average salary is around 40-50k ....but usually those money go to commanders as bribes, to not end in useless meatgrinder battle, and if your relatives try to get payoff for your death...well, it would be a real challenge. Also criminals have option to sign the contract and get free after (if they don't die in process) source: I live here and see war ads everywhere @benroyce@mastodon.social @pgiulan@federate.social @anneapplebaum@journa.host

@frssoft@social.criminallycute.fi нет, но это не важно

@Lemonid@mastodon.ml

@alice@lgbtqia.space queeradar!

@Azuaron@cyberpunk.lol not reading. Copying and using to create derivatives for profit @jztusk@mastodon.social

@mike805@noc.social I mean, there're multiple cases of trouble caused by ex-criminals with additional war PTSD, so they let at least some of them go Usually its not for long, because criminals are too traumatized to live in normal society, so they commit crimes again, and cycle repeats... @mister_shade02X2@mastodon.social @benroyce@mastodon.social @pgiulan@federate.social @anneapplebaum@journa.host

@david_chisnall@infosec.exchange I think for this to work you'd need more than two files, link them more complicated than just a loop, and probably fill them with some useless text, to increase confusion & token cost @joe@f.duriansoftware.com @aburka@hachyderm.io

@joe@f.duriansoftware.com hmmmmm, my current employer hosts internal vibe-coding service, and I think I finally found use for it brb, gonna burn some corporate money for testing :blobcatfireeyes: @david_chisnall@infosec.exchange @aburka@hachyderm.io

@peertube@framapiaf.org cc @drq@mastodon.ml you need to see this

@BibbleCo@infosec.exchange considering current climate tendencies, it will be both @GossiTheDog@cyberplace.social

@the_wub@mastodon.social not for long I guess. In theory, Vivaldi could support their fork of chromium with manifest V2, but in practice maintaining a browser engine is hella hard & costly and they can't just keep using old chromium version for security reasons @inthehands@hachyderm.io

@mttaggart@infosec.exchange planning ahead costs too much so they fired all planners and replaced them with marketing department

@emilyskidsister@hachyderm.io and then no one wants to work with bad software, and delegates this shit to robots... @ekuber@hachyderm.io

@jerry@infosec.exchange is it.. even possible to check without full database search? :neocat_googly_shocked:

@lanodan@queer.hacktivis.me backward compatibility with older browsers requires effort, and much additional testing. You can, on the other hand, target very old browsers by default, but this way you'd not be able to use new features to improve user experience @moh_kohn@mastodon.scot

@condret@fedi.absturztau.be not by itself, but if you ddos someone's infrastructure by scraping heavy endpoints, explicitly marked as not for scraping... @mttaggart@infosec.exchange @nohhue@mastodon.social

@destiny_m@shitpost.poridge.club

@inthehands@hachyderm.io but... Vivaldi is still based on chromium, and google will remove all the code required for effective ad blocker to work maybe built-in blocker will still work, but no uBlock :blobcatsad:

@destiny_m@shitpost.poridge.club так они научатся замешивать так, что не распознаешь. В эту игру будут играть двое @Lemonid@mastodon.ml
