If this is old news, I’m sorry and everyone can make fun of me but I finally figured out how to follow Threads accounts with Fediverse sharing enabled in #tapestryApp.
You go through the process as if you are trying to do an unauthenticated follow of a single Mastodon user but you put their full Threads username in the username field, while leaving mastodon.social as the instance.

Three weeks later and I am getting *heavy* use out of my first #TapestryApp connector. Multiple times I’ve seen posts from this connector in my feed and forgotten that I built it 😂

I’m sure I’ve shared it before but I get so much use out of Boop for macOS.
Being able to perform arbitrary functions like sort, randomize, base64, etc. all locally on arbitrary text saves me so much time.

Local grocery store finally got a new mixed case of NA beer 😍
I strongly prefer spicy brown mustard but every time I buy it or order it anywhere I get flashbacks to this Tucker Carlson segment from when I was in high school.
They were running clips of Obama ordering it on a hotdog and Tucker is just screaming, red in the face about this elitist mustard.
I wonder if the performance of the MacBook Neo is an indication that the A18 Pro could end up in the next AppleTV 4K.
We know Apple loves reusing chips (I mean, just look at the Neo itself) and it would be an easy way to justify not moving the next AppleTV 4K to an M-class chip.
I think M-class TV hardware would be awesome and open the door to more demanding games (even just all the games in Apple Arcade 🫠) but the A18 Pro would get you pretty far.

I use dictation *constantly* on iOS but I just can’t bring myself to do it on the Mac. There are so many cool offline dictation apps that detect grammar and all this stuff but there is some blocker in my head that is like DO NOT SPEAK TO THE COMPUTER, ONLY THE PHONE

As a fellow “manually update my apps so I can read the release notes” weirdo, this news made my afternoon.
We have always been AWFUL about giving each other gifts early and for the next month, @presidentaudra@threads.net has her birthday, graduation and Mother’s Day within about three weeks of each other.
I’m dying. The effort could literally kill me.

@jensimmons@front-end.social I am asked about the new(ish) color functions in #CSS a lot and I never have a good answer for how we can use them. In my line of work (ad agency) we are almost always given a style or brand guide with a list of hex values and I haven’t been able to get my head around how the new CSS color functions help us, even though they seem awesome. I’m usually first to be like WE CAN USE THIS but color functions haven’t clicked for me.

@jayfm@mstdn.social it’s very fun to read out loud to people in everyday life like the dentist or mechanic. They look at you like a wizard when it doesn’t end in Gmail or iCloud!
I talk a lot of trash about Mozilla, most of it being deserved, but Thunderbird is actually really nice if you want a vanilla, traditional email client.
Mail for macOS is such an uphill battle for me and there is something refreshing about an experience that seems to give you some more control.
