@oxy@social.bsdlab.au What is the record for someone waiting for that to load? I’m at 45 seconds.

Celebrating 9 Nights for Damian George aka DJ Big Tunz who died very suddenly last week. He played for my son’s 18th birthday on 15th August. Today would have been Damian’s 52nd birthday.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social Dog hair. Loads of it. Having two dogs who sleep in my office during the day and both shed like no tomorrow. Except there is a tomorrow and another 24 hours to shed another couple of millions of tons of hair.

@lackattack@mastodon.social It is for the benefit of his wife’s family so I think you’re right.

@lackattack@mastodon.social Considering that not so long ago Jack Warner was President of CONCACAF this is big news.

@jae@mastodon.bsd.cafe X250 worked perfectly for me. My Thinkpad E16 V2 with an AMD processor has all sorts of problems with OpenBSD, as it does Windows. I think my issues are hardware related.

@mdfranz@infosec.exchange Wouldn’t be valid in UK or Romania but would allow him to stay in the USA and swap stories with Trump!!

@jerry@infosec.exchange Day of the Triffids vibe.

@stefano This is a good thing. While the mindset thinks using AI - as in LLM’s - is okay, they won’t understand the BSD’s. When they are ready - mature enough to understand the BSD mindset - they will reject the LMM’s first and from that everything else will follow.

@lawrenceabrams@infosec.exchange @catc0n@infosec.exchange Got to keep himself busy after leaving Liverpool.

I wonder why Tuchel is getting such a roasting from people who couldn’t manage running a bath, never mind an Under-7’s 5-a-side team. This includes former players who have never managed or coached. If Tuchel’s substitutes had worked and England had seen the game out, these same people would be hailing him as a tactical genius. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

@poes@sok.egois.org @fionescu@mastodon.bsd.cafe WireGuard is just another interface type on #OpenBSD - not an app. Nothing to start or stop or install. I’ll have a look at my config and get back to you.

Front screen of my Pixel 9 fold has stopped working. Almost certainly a hardware failure. I flashed from @GrapheneOS@grapheneos.social back to stock Android and the problem persists. It takes ages to boot now as well. Probably probing for hardware that doesn’t respond. It’s back running Graphene but WhatsApp refuses to get past the Welcome screen despite switching all the protections off. I’m not sure if that is hardware or software so the plan is to reflash to stock Android and see if WhatsApp works. Not that I like or want WhatsApp - my networks use it and moving them to @signalapp@mastodon.world is a slow and arduous process. I’ll see how much it costs to fix the Pixel. The inner screen works okay and it will make a good media player and a portable SSH machine if I plug a keyboard in with stock Android. Not what I wanted but what I’ve got.

Never in doubt!!* (*It was always in doubt until the final whistle.) #NORvENG #ENGvNOR

@willb@infosec.exchange You won’t find the complete Tom and Jerry either.

All sorts of network shenanigans this weekend. My limited knowledge of VLANs and my fantastic ability to forget things very quickly got me into trouble again. All fixed now and fully documented. Anyway. Proxmox server wasn’t responding - taking out the Ethernet cable and plugging it back again after a few seconds cured the problem. Start with the simple things first.

@overcastfm@mastodon.social I listened to a podcast with a guy who talked extremely slowly and 5x would have worked. 2x was just about listenable.

@simon@gotosocial.grnwds.uk @fesshole@mastodon.social I’ve seen a friend use the same trick with dog poo. I’ve tried it but the smell is awful. So I single bag everything.

I’m wide awake now. #eng

Reminded me of that Nicky Butt goal all those years ago. #nufc

@jerry@infosec.exchange So is George Russel.

@outofcreativity@exquisite.social @darth@silversword.online Same.

@nikolaidis@infosec.exchange Two shouts 98 seconds apart or just the one?

I’ve just come to the realisation that I’ve spent the vast majority of my life bored out of my nut.

@pwaring@social.xk7.net @doboprobodyne@mathstodon.xyz Step8Up.co.uk - I’ve just got off the phone with Jeeve who runs the company. I’ve used them for training and also worked as a trainer. Jeeve can do all three but isn’t sure about certificates. Plus UK based small business and all remote. I’m jezcaudle.08 on Signal if you want Jeeve’s mobile number. Jez.

@swling@mastodon.radio Do you ever get Testmatch Special or even better, an episode of The Archers? #theArchers

@dalias@hachyderm.io Brilliant. I can see the scroll bar now.

Downloading my FaceBook data and the nuking my account. It was suspended for a good long while. Twitter in the next few days - I’ll run @cyd@infosec.exchange on it and then close my account. And finally Instagram. Facebook was great in 2008. Post that you are watching something on TV and other people would chip in and the jokes start. Nowadays you can’t be sure anyone will see it and if they do it might be hours or days down the line. Fucking useless for users, great for advertisers. I do judge anyone still on Twitter. And Instagram went the same way as Facebook due to being owned by Facebook. Trying to get people shifted to @signalapp@mastodon.world is not easy but I’m working on it.

My @thunderbird@mastodon.online filter rules are doing a very good job. When Thunderbird is not running I see lots of “business related” emails on my phone but when I run Thunderbird the emails disappear. I send an email back informing that their email was deleted unread and so will all subsequent emails. The rules run after @spamhaus@infosec.exchange and SpamAssassin. Email is becoming useful again.

Didn’t need Norway scoring. But Jude did was he does. Another 45 minutes of tension - if not longer. Possibly longer. #ENGvNOR

Waiting to have a camera down my throat.

@timb_machine@infosec.exchange I’ve got one and I have no idea what to do next as I don’t anyone else who has one.
