Time for one of my rare excursions into #JukeboxFridayNight with the theme #dirty. One of my favourite bands fits the bill: The B-52s and Dirty Back Road https://youtu.be/r4qbZxzQ3Js

#Meermittwoch Prawle Point, the southern most point of Devon. The rocky arch at the base is known as The Horse's Head, for obvious reasons.

I don't often do #JukeboxFridayNight, but seeing as the theme is #Royalty, my hand is forced, and I have to nominate The King of Zydeco by Rory Gallagher. https://youtu.be/ZPg5Oth2mkM

Joan Armatrading - The Shouting Stage

I know Joan Armatrading has achieved almost national treasure status, but I still don't think she gets the credit she is due, not only for her song writing, but also her guitar playing, which up there with the best.
This, her 11th studio album, doesn't have any stand out hits, but is still a perfect accompaniment to my morning coffee.

For #ThrowbackThursday I've dug out an old favourite from 2012. In my old house, we kept various forms of poultry, including Muscovy ducks. I'm not sure why there was a bucket of water in the garden, but this chap clearly approved. #birdsOfMastodon #ducks #MuscovyDucks

A certain amount of relief in chez H.
My son lives in The Philippines, and I woke this morning to news of the earthquake off Mindanao.
He lives in central Luzon, well to the north. I was pretty sure he'd be ok, but couldn't help some nagging concern.
He's just messaged to say he didn't even feel it. 😮‍💨

Well, that was fun. Mowing the lawn (again!) with my shiny new lawnmower. Try to turn round at the end of a row, and at the same time flick the electric cord out of the way for the next. End up tripping over my own feet and face planting the ground.
