I turned up at Waterstones in Worthing to sign some new stock of QUEER ORIGINS and was absolutely bowled over to be greeted by this, in prime position in the shop window! It's so uplifting when booksellers get behind one's book. 💜🌈📚🦋 #book #books #bookstodon #reading #readingcommunity #writing #author #science #nature #animals #evolution #Darwin #history #histsci #histsex #queerhistory #lgbt #lgbtq #lgbtqia

Hey! I'm S. Garak Tangri, a writer, musician, and IT guy. I like to write Fantasy, Horror, and Sci-fi; usually a blend of all 3 if I can get away with it! 😜 I'm currently querying The Grave Lord, an Epic Fantasy Horror novel with a strong character focus I'm here primarily to discuss reading and writing the genres above, exchanging general writing/publishing tips, and to have fun! I will NOT be posting or interacting with hateful content, AI generated anything, or posting critical reviews of books I don't personally enjoy (there's enough armchair critics already) If you're still interested, give me a follow! I'll try to post semi regularly, but life tends to get in the way. #writingcommunity #fantasybooks #ReadingCommunity #bookstodon #HorrorBooks #writing #WritersOfMastodon #introduction

RE: https://mastodon.au/@wendypalmer/116844162472760771 Final weekend (and indeed final week) of the #Smashwords July sale. Lots of #indieAuthors on sale, including #MastoAuthors, including me 😊 #books #readingCommunity

The Smashwords Summer/Winter sale is on during July. Stinking hot / cold and rainy? Obviously you need to stay inside and read. All my books are 50% off. That makes them US$2 all month. They’re low-key fantasy with romantic subplots, often queer: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/wendylpalmer But you’ll find plenty of other Masto indie authors on the smashwords hashtag, and there’s lots and lots of books to browse at the site: https://www.smashwords.com/shelves/promos/1 #SmashWords #SmashwordSale #BookSale #bookstodon

Midweek question, and I want honest answers. If you could step inside any fictional world for a week — any book, film, series, anything — which would you choose? There's one rule. You have to stay for the full week, whatever the world decides to throw at you. No stepping out early if the dragon shows up or the Otherworld starts behaving strangely. 🌿📖 #FolkloreFantasy #WelshFolklore #Bookish #BookWorldQuestion #Reading #ReadingCommunity

I've realised it's been a while since I've shared my reading history. Sorry about that! Golden Son by Pierce Brown - loved it. Really good! They All Died Screaming by Kristopher Triana - I thought it was good horror if a bit too edgy, trying a bit too hard at times Bat Eater by Kylie Lee Baker - I thought this one was absolutely incredible. Honestly just loved it to bits. #book #books #booksky #bookstodon #reading #readingCommunity
