I've been spending about an hour each morning, just reading a book with no phone around. It's been enormously pleasant and it feels monumental to retrain myself for long reading. At this rate, I should get through all my books by sometime in the 2300s.

I wrote to @1password@1password.social expressing my disappointment with their funding of Omacom. They provided me the standard corporate response, to which I replied. https://skippy.net/1password-and-omarchy/ #1password

So, I recorded an episode of Why We Roll with Wythe and Christopher last year, and it finally dropped. I can't believe a) I sound relatively coherent, even accounting for all the long pauses, and b) the state of the Kickstarter isn't much further along than it was then (I'm making progress, I swear!) https://bsky.app/profile/stillfleet.bsky.social/post/3mumkbgoisk2z

Terry Godier

The Boring Internet

The internet you grew up on isn't dying. A commercial veneer glued on top of it is. A visual essay about what actually persists.

I miss Psions too. But perhaps it’s also a reflection of how much I loved technology back then and how exciting it all was. I try not to wallow in nostalgia but the 1980s and 1990s felt very different (in a good way!) to what is going on today.
