Stop making anime movies that randomly and poorly slot in between seasons of the show. It’s always just a mess, and quite frankly the story just ends up poor for many reasons.

If there is one thing I’ve learnt from video game Isekais is that if you play a video game, don’t play something dumbass like a skeleton.

Anyone else feel uneasy with the idea of naming workers? From name tags in person to “today Mike is your driver” and similar online things.

(I feel uneasy about it as it’s a way to identify the worker to assign blame and to try to direct any anger towards a named person rather than the real culprit, the corporation.)

Same as calling people “sir”. I am not British, I don’t even have a knighthood. I’m certainly not better than anyone.

Think I’ve been able to put in words why I’ve hated the idea do grades for a very long time now.

Education should be about improving yourself (the student), because that fosters a positive spirit and knowledge.

Grades fosters bell curves, completion, backstabbing, anti-social behaviors, elitism, and a lack of empathy.

Grading people is evil.

I think that the emergence of drones and unmanned ground robots have quite a different effect on the future than what is normally portrayed and discussed.

It’s not a replacement for a high tech modern military. Air superiority and ballistic missiles with logical target priority will still be far more effective (anyone who has that and is loosing is loosing on purpose).

What it will become is a way to terrorize and kill civilians, when one side knocks the other out, or one side simply have far superior production, waging war without casualties *on your own side* will be far more accepted.

Imagine no draft and no ~360k casualties, would local opinion have changed in the U.S. for the drawn out Vietnam War? They did figure out cutting draft made it easier (in the other disasters have followed), but if they cut causalities they could go on forever.

Been thinking about it and felt that I wanted to mention it. I don’t know how many have thought of it. It really bothers me.

Are there any internet based equivalents to number stations?

(For those unaware, number stations are radio stations that transmit seemingly random or meaningless things, with speculation of their true use. Most being something spy related. I find the recordings creepy and I generally am not bothered. Just so nobody goes into a bad rabbit hole from a search.)

Scripted ad reads sounds so incredibly fake. Just makes me want to avoid the product. Though honestly 99% of the time it isn’t something I’d use in the first place anyways.

Anyone else end up having a non main character as your favorite in a bunch of shows?

Stream snipers aren’t all made the same. Some are just awful dickheads etc.

But the Puerto Ricans sniping Connor (and Mousey’s stream) are just so sweet. Everyone is just so nice and seems so generally happy. Wearing mouse merch and knows how to behave. Some even bring gifts!

It’s nice to see to be honest. Just people being nice and positive. We need more of this all around.

Episode 23 (11 of the second season) was a single fight, without the resolution. Just a cliffhanger.

The new cat and dragon anime is an odd one. One human shows up with a Klingon “sword” or whatever you call that giant thing they use.

Don’t know what they were going for, but it just looks goofy. Interesting show otherwise .

Pro tip. If you are going to be clever and eat one of the many “worst” foods out there (I don’t think there’s a single worst one), please do follow the instructions and eat it like it’s normally eaten.

For example, if you insist on opening a package of flour by violently smashing it in candle light and then proceed eat it with a spoon you are going to have a bad time. As in don’t do it. It’s dangerous.

Does that make flour the worst food out there? Nope.

This thing where unrelated and meaningless channels put trailers for something there’s already official sources for is just so damn annoying, not to mention the shitoritm doesn’t start with the source just makes it so much worse.

And then it starts “suggesting” the trailer I’ve already seen but for other channels over and over and over again.

When Apple unveiled Apple TV+ (which do create quality shows) I was so hoping they would have unveiled a YouTube competitor. Take back some of that whole creative thing they had before Tim “MBA” Apple took over.

Ironic that it was the Neuromancer trailer I was looking for, because megacorps are becoming more real by the day.

It feels kinda weird saying “my main PC has 128GB” in 2026. DDR4 was cheap there for a while, decided to chuck an extra 64GB in there.

Uncle from another world (terrible translation, since it’s the story is Uncle that got isekaied and came back).

It is such an unhinged manga, from the story to the art. It’s just filled with funny and crazy moments plus it defies its genre in a non contrived way.

Wish it could get a second season. It certainly is good enough.

On one side we have the don’t have any solutions at all parties.
