Finished Royal Family and it was a riot. I enjoyed it way more than I expected and there were some very interesting twists and turns.
@EllenInEdmonton@yeg.bike You'll like it. Ji Sung is unapologetically hot in this. 🔥🔥

Ouch, my therapist speaking the truth. "You're planning your trip to Korea in October next year because you're avoiding spending money on yourself."
She suggests I book the trip for April instead (which would be right after my 50th birthday and since this is my 50th birthday present to myself, that would actually be great timing). Will have to consider that, because she's right that if I plan it for October 2027, something will come up that will prevent me from going.
I'm still watching Mr Queen but because I can only watch so much saguk in a day, I've also started Royal Family which I unexpectedly love. It's an old one (2011) and it's a total soap opera with scheming chaebol family members and an evil chairwoman, something I would ordinarily not have the patience for but which my burned out brain has decided to love right now. I'm not questioning it, just rolling with the punches. Bonus baby Ji Sung with a hilarious haircut.

Poor Ji Sung has had his left hand bandaged for the past couple of episodes. They gave a very brief and inadequate explanation of this which makes me think Ji Sung actually hurt his hand in real life. Kdramas never give up the opportunity to make the most of every little injury that a character sustains, so this was definitely an unscripted, real life injury.

My youngest son told me about this very helpful website that tells you where you can stream a movie or drama. I find it very helpful to find out where I can find a kdrama I want to watch. It even tells you what country you can stream it from in case you have VPN. #kdrama

Finished Protect the Boss and it was fun start to finish. Not one boring episode. I loved the FL and her friends, loved the second ML and of course absolutely adored Ji Sung. So fun to see him in such a silly role. This will definitely go on my rewatch list.
Now I have the difficult task of choosing what to watch next. I'm leaning towards Mr Queen, has anyone seen it? Is it good?

My Korean language learning is going well. I'm at that intermediary stage where you feel like you're not making any progress, but I just listened to an interview with Ji Sung all in Korean with no subtitles and I understood about 60% of the interview, so I'm inordinately proud of myself 😊.

I started watching Doctor on the Edge but stopped after a minute when the "this drama is fictional" mention came on, as it also warned that some scenes were generated using AI. I'm glad they disclosed it but I'm very disappointed that they felt the need to use AI. What the fuck. So that's off the watchlist. I have no desire to watch AI slop, thank you very much.

I really, really loved Kill Me, Heal Me. It was perfect all the way to the end. Ji Sung was amazing in it, especially where he plays Cha Do Hyun pretending to be Yo Na. I've never laughed so hard.
It wrapped up really well too. I loved how Oh Ri Jin said goodbye to Shin Se Gi, so sad. And I was a bit sad she didn't really get to say goodbye to Yo Sub.
I cried a lot, laughed a lot and couldn't stop watching. Will definitely rewatch at some point.
