So when graphene OS stopped working for me I asked around to see what the solution was
/g/ told me phones are obsolete
Privacy people told me to lug around a librebooted thinkpad and do everything on that and then switch carriers to one of those prepaid cards and to degoogle
Security people and graphene OS users told me to get an iPhone
That’s pretty much the state of the cell phone space these days. I ended up taking the graphene OS users advice because by switching to iOS I also degoogled like the privacy people wanted and now I don’t have security concerns over Google play vs fdroid or obtanium

Ideology is cool but I’m more attracted to Linus’s pragmatism
For people especially with accessibility needs ideology doesn’t matter so much as improving the stack. And they have been sorely left behind even by people that wear accessibility support as a badge of honor. It’s all for show.
And what people are gonna come to find out is gnome can’t handle this big complex software on their own they’re gonna need help or get left behind
