Vinoth (Datacenter security)
@vinoth@infosec.exchange
I am Vinoth, from San Diego. I currently work on Datacenter HW security at OpenAI. I used to lead the silicon security architecture and silicon security operations teams at #Google. Before that, I worked on mobile silicon security at #Qualcomm.
Much of my professional work so far has been about improving the security of #Pixel and other #Android devices. I will mostly talk about #mobilesecurity, #androidsecurity and #infosec.
I sometimes invest in seed stage start-ups, primarily technology companies. My portfolio includes Modumate, Akido Labs, kia.ai, Zendoc and Zeoauto. If you are building something cool, hit me up.

Security is a systems property. It can be built in layers, but it cannot be designed one layer at a time.

A combination of GPT-5.6-Sol (without cyber refusals) + eval harness stitched an exploit chain spanning OpenAI and Hugging Face networks, so it can punch through the sandbox environment at OpenAI, get to the Internet and steal answers for a benchmark from Hugging Face. So yeah, that happened.

Flock ran searches for “coexist bumper sticker,” “white truck with a trump sticker,” and “Star of David,” apparently to demonstrate what cops shouldn't search for.

@carnage4life@mas.to TBH, $400M for inventory management seems a lot even pre AI. Smells like suppliers putting the squeeze on captive customers with no where else to turn. Now there is somewhere else to turn.
