@jeremyburge the China cities seem a little inaccurate, considering you need a Chinese bank card to be able to top up the subway transit card in the Wallet app. The only way you get contactless is if you sign up for an Alipay account. Yes, downloading a whole app just to use the transit system. Then even with that app, it is not tap, it is you having to open up the app, then navigating to show the QR code, and then having the door scan your phone screen. Ridiculously cumbersome

Well, guess I’ll be looking for a new bank account soon. Only reason I use #DiscoverBank is for the connected accounts feature in #AppleWallet.
Maybe #Robinhood new accounts will support connected accounts? Robinhood has a much nicer UI than Discover anyways.
With the exploding popularity of AI and companies trying to build super apps, it reminds me of a video I’ve made a few years ago or I explain why super app suck. At the most basic level, they add at least one tap to any operation you want to do after raising your phone.

Podcasts like App Stories, Connected, and Upgrade all said this was just built by some intern and won’t get any updates.
Yet Invites has been updated more often since its come out than Apple’s now freemium iWork apps.
Been seeing stickers advertised like this in China for the last few months already.

Great! Now could they localize the Apple Store app? I live in China and can only order products with the app when it’s in Chinese. Seems all the regions have an issue with this.

I have a MacBook I purchased in China, however is set up with my US Apple ID and set to US region and English language yada yada, I still have Chinese in my Apple Music app interface. Also I can’t even use it because it just jumps form song to song without actually playing anything.
I really would love to get *SOME* notifications from my Mac on my iPhone.

Right after updating to macOS26.4 I got this. I am already a subscriber. Not a premium experience being a paying customer of many apple devices and services and then being asked again to pay when it fails to see I already paid. #macOS

I have no issues with macOS Tahoe or how the Notification Center has hidden action buttons, however it has got to look and work properly…
