The worst thing about reading @grimalkina@mastodon.social ‘s Psychology of Software Teams as an e-book was that it was over when my reader thought it was 70% done. Because the book is Real Science with *loads* of references!
Buy it and read it and leave a review wherever you bought it. This work is worth supporting.

@ksylor@front-end.social @drewpickard@mastodon.social omg! simple-minded metrics suuuuuck. I got dinged once at a gig years ago because my PR count was “low”, without even considering that maybe I didn’t need to follow every feature up with 3–5 bug fix PRs because I actually created quality stuff the first time around…?

@slightlyoff@toot.cafe the entire philosophy of the stack I’m building at $employer is based on the idea that the best JavaScript library available is actually written in C++ and it’s the browser runtime and it’s worth deliberately reshaping your architecture so as much as possible runs (and stays!) in that layer

@shanselman@mastodon.social sounds like web 3.0 is where we reimplement all our web 2.0 apps on web 1.0
(a good thing, to be clear)
