I'm still daily-driving my #flx1s from @furilabs@fosstodon.org for over a month and have some good learnings about #mobilelinux #linuxphone #linux.
Ask me anything.

@veronica@explains.social, good explanation too:
"(...) received a number of pull requests featuring obvious LLM-generated content. So far, these have all demonstrated non-understanding of either Libera Chat’s requirements or the codebases being contributed-to."

Part 2:
- You can copy/paste from and to the android container, which is great if you use a password manager like Bitwarden.
- Camera works fine
- I'm able to receive calls when the phone is on sleep (I'm genuinely surprised)
- Flatpak enabled out of the box. The Bazaar store works great (has great mobile section!)
- Has hardware killswitches for Camera, SIM and Microphone.
- Bluetooth, Hotspot, Wifi, 4G in Ireland works fine.

@mausmalone@mastodon.social, what app is this? Those tabs don't look like #gnome at all to me.
This is what I have on my gnome desktop:

@kdkorte@fosstodon.org, right on the spot.
Also, complain about being served adds on Windows?! The OS itself is an add-based trojan horse.

@dansup@mastodon.social, it is a great website and I've been sharing with the peeps to get them over to us.
One little thing that would be useful is to maybe show one or two examples of how to follow people from different servers and/or apps.

@FediVideo@social.growyourown.services, this example, together with being open-source, is why I love the Fediverse so much!

@opensourceopenmind@social.vivaldi.net, for me, receiving calls when WhatsApp Android app is open, so I assume other apps work as well.
What I've learned is to keep Whatsapp always open to not miss notifications or calls.

@mosgaard@uddannelse.social, regular Linux and android apps. Android run side-by-side as if they are native, giving you the best of both worlds.

@mosgaard@uddannelse.social, has been great. So far covers 98% of my needs, from phone, camera, whatsapp calling, music, etc. Discovering new apps is fun.

@quillmatiq@mastodon.social, full-time office for just spreadsheets and emails after we spread outwards from cities during pandemic is a brilliant strategy to create natural attrition.

@ryan@hcommons.social @furilabs@fosstodon.org, I agree that navigation has been a painful experience so far. It is a hit and miss and I'm not able to get Android Auto working at all since Google Services are not automatically installed.

@FolksVelo@mas.to, a noble "idea" and can be implemented in residential areas but I'm cities where you need to commute and get goods and services it becomes a productivity killer and increases cost of living exponentially.

@mausmalone@mastodon.social, yeah, Gnome has its quirks. I still love the design of gnome though and can't get enough. Combined with libadwaita, you have really great and stunningly looking desktop and apps imo.

@mosgaard@uddannelse.social, no. Android apps run inside a container called #waydroid. For example, instead of using Google Play Services (that includes all the telemetry/tracking), it uses something called MicroG, allowing you to run apps like youtube which requires some shared libraries.
