According to an article in the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, Hamas offered a deal to return all civilian hostages on October 7th, 2023, at 19:00. The prime minister of Quatar called the head of Mossad and told him that Hamas is ready to release all civilians now, and we are prepared to mediate.
But the Israelis weren't interested. Apparently Netanyahu wanted a war and wanted to destroy Hamas and Gaza.

Mit internet er nede. Det irriterer mig ad helvede til at WAOO ikke har driftsservice mellem 17 og 08, og deres hjemmeside er lort. Politiken tror stadigvæk at Trump tænker som en traditionel, rationel politiker. Men der er intet rationelt eller gennemtænkt hos manden, han er mentalt syg og lider af hastigt fremadskridende frontotemporal demens. Stop nu med den sanewashing, Politiken.
US has LOST the war against Iran. They have achieved NONE of their objectives, there has been no regime change and there's nothing US can do to achieve that. The only way to do it is to invade and occupy all of Iran's territory, and that would probably require 1.5 million soldiers, and enormous losses. US currently has around 20,000 in the region. The US military is now fighting for ONE objective and ONE only: So Trump can save face.

In the on-going Hormuz crisis it is very obvious that the Iranians are consciously playing on Trump’s psychology. They have figured out exactly how to get him to react and that his rash decisions and rhetoric always plays out to their advantage.
