Shortcuts already felt slow and frustrating to create/modify – coding agents multiply that feeling. I hope #WWDC26 will let us write Shortcut scripts.

For a slightly more complex #Shortcut, it‘s now easier to vibe code an entire app around an app intent than drag and drop your way through the awfully slow shortcuts app.
@imdavidpierce@threads.net regarding WhatsApp usernames, I think they reserve any username used on Instagram or Facebook so people can migrate them. I was unable to use the one I wanted, went to Facebook and changed it there, then I was able to get it on WhatsApp.

@maxoakland@mastodon.social I wish it were so, and I‘m sure it’s part of the reason. I just don’t think it’s a very large part. There still needs to be a market to sustain development.
It just has too many other shortcomings (price, comfort, and the form factor itself). I hope Apple continues to work on it (as well as improve developer relations). There’s something very special there.

@stroughtonsmith@mastodon.social I'm sure developer sentiment influences apps, but I don't think it does so more than how many users the platform has, which is certainly the larger issue.
