@_calmdowndear@mastodon.social i guess in this particular case we could have guessed that jwz knows about the existence of iptables. But guessing is the opposite of specific. And he basically prefaced that he was using AWS basically as a simple vps, so responding with a simple vps compatible solution is perhaps obvious but not exactly in violation of the stated rules.

Goed punt, en geeft me nog een gedachte (al heb ik er nul verstand van):

Naar mate autos elektrificeren hebben we ook steeds minder bioethanol nodig. Bovendien moeten we de veestapel afbouwen, en hebben we dus ook minder veevoer nodig. Een slimme overheid zou wellicht uitzoeken in hoeverre de terugval in landbouw kan worden opgevangen door te kiezen pieken op te vangen met biomassacentrales. Wellicht kun je er dan een positief "we hebben jullie nog wel nodig" verhaal van maken.
