Old school clock systems are awesome! This is the second system at MCO Orlando Intl Airport. It’s made by National Time using their rotary drive impulse system. Previous to this was a Standard branded Faraday synchronous system.
I build Raspberry Pi based master clocks to keep these systems running. #retrotech
Honestly, I don't care what you do to your body to make you feel comfortable in your skin. However, I don't get this Mar-A-Lago face trend.
I had less bondo in my rusted out '74 Vega.
I still love my Armitron calculator watch from 1982. Honestly, I’m surprised it still works just fine all these years later.
I used to be told it was too dorky, especially when I was a young man finding my place in the world and the community. Good thing my husband thoroughly loves the dorky in me.
My husband and I are flying to Orlando today. We originally were flying TUS-DEN-MCO, but then the last leg was delayed 5+ hours. So we hastily booked TUS-IAH-MCO and now we're getting to Orlando closer to the originally planned time.
We were able to do this because the United app is actually very good and intuitive. Shout out to United for a good job with the technology.
So now the U.S. is going to start live streaming executions? What in the actual fuck.
In an alternate universe I’m being pestered for autographs for my role as a warlock in a revival of “Bewitched”.
Can someone tell Agent Orange that if we now have "Super Intelligence", we certainly don't need his shit laden ass in the White House, he can be replaced with "SI".
BTW, it's still Large Language Models and TFG is still an asshole
Klarna == Fingerhut
Tra la! It's May! The lusty month of May! That lovely month when everything goes blissfully astray.
Tra la! It's here! That shocking time of year
When tons of wicked little thoughts merrily appear!
I've bought these "mindmapping" apps over the years and after using these various pieces of software I always come to the same conclusion: just typing my thoughts in a markdown document using vim is the best way for me to map my mind.
Someone might have said "Howdy, handsome" to the Immigration Checkpoint Officer last night. To be fair, he did have a mustache and the grin afterwards was worth it.
At the request of work, I’ve been reposting the company posts on my LinkedIn profile. Since then, the number of text messages from”the CEO” has increased from never before to at least a half dozen a day.
Tip? Don’t tie any phone numbers to your LinkedIn account.
Second tip? Avoid LinkedIn if you can. I know, easier said than done.
We are moving from fast food attendants using vocal fry to ASMR whisper voices and I am not pleased.
Just use your damn regular voice. This is Whataburger, not a YouTube channel.
“Everybody Everybody” by Black Box is now playing in this Whataburger. I have loudly declared, “all hail Martha Wash”.
I’m of the generation of gays that still fiercely protect Ms Wash’s performance on Black Box, Seduction, and C+C Music Factory records.
The model in the Black Box videos can’t sing. At all.
Welp, the used car dealer has determined it's going to cost too much for them to fix my 2015 Jeep Wrangler under warranty, so they're refunding us all the money and I no longer have a Jeep.
Yay?
As an individual with brain chemistry that runs into "decision fatigue" quickly, interacting with an LLM for an extended amount of time is bloody exhausting.
OK, I figured out I needed to export a separate version of the video from Final Cut Pro with some tweaks to codecs.
I'll move away from FCP at some point, but I'm working with what I have at the moment.
I have no idea how to promote this other than this toot, but two of my videos are on PeerTube.
For the life of me I don't know how average computer users can fall for profiles like this one found on Instagram
I’m back to giving Brave a try across my various platforms. So far it’s been a very good experience.
I am switching back to the Catppuccin Mocha theme across as many apps as possible and it's making me much happier about tech in general.
And in this world of LLM assisted coding, it's very clear that I'm a hand keyed SKU in a world of touchscreens and tip requests
I suggested to the county highway department a wayfinding sign to I-10 from the National Park, as there was a turn not signed properly for that corridor. This morning I noticed the new sign had been installed.
Just doing my civic duty.
