i hate when you're just chilling watching a movie and the movie takes a sudden 'yeah we're all christian here obviously' and you realize you were absolutely never the intended viewer

this absolutely does not explain why that black driver got killed at the beginning

i'm starting to sense it's like not a werewolf but a demon. even if it looks like a werewolf it's a demon from christian hell

hey dumbass boas and pythons don't need to eat two people in a row. one is enough for at LEAST a week

this is super racist but i agree with this racist caricature's hatred of christian hegemony
#monsterdon

oh my god is this movie going to REALLY commit to the racism now. fucking hell

"what do you think it was?" i thought she was sad and rejected and resentfully asking about why he didn't think it was a date for a solid five seconds there

oh someone thinks they're being deep by realizing "territory" and "terrorism" sound similar. uh huh 🙄

it's very funny, the idea that there were no true radicals left in nyc at that time

sorry but in werewolf village, everyone knows when you're fucking

since we know how racist this movie is i'm assuming earring guy doesn't survive
#monsterdon

it would be funny (and honestly quite possible) if they actually filmed those parts of the movie with an IR lens/lack of filter. like if they went through that trouble for accuracy but it just looks flat and confusing

i do like the interpretation that it was this german terrorist group and this stupid cop guy just got seriously trolled
but that's a 'pretend a bunch of stuff that happened in this movie didn't happen' interpretation
#monsterdon
Replying to
that was a fucking awful movie by the way. the real monster in this one was the racism
#monsterdon

then again, likable fictional characters as cops is like 75% of copaganda as a genre

i don't know if i'll watch this whole movie but i just. need something not based on something by whitley strieber. in my eyes and ears.
#monsterdon

and look. this movie is more racist than that interpretation but it can't stop me from interpreting

@cd0@mastodon.social i'd say this was based in the 70s but like: yes, absolutely.

jenny looks so alarmed by regular everyday village folk
(i mean i assume this entire town is werewolves but SHE doesn't know that)

i'm pretty sure this guy is just talking about code switching and enjoying freaking the cop out
#monsterdon
Replying to
look. ACAB but he's a fictional character who probably would NOT be a cop if he were real

@SocialCommentaryBot@mas.to tbf there's a lot of overlap in potential werewolf vs vampire lore, and places where they blur together rather than being distinct entities

ow ow ow ow (how we are all feeling after watching wolfen)
