Siri AI makes the Apple Watch finally feel like a wrist computer

Or you could just use Siri to set timers — it still does that well.

It’s Time Apple Bit the Bullet With Their Own Fitness Band

Watching the launch of Google’s new Fitbit Air last week, my immediate reaction was, “It would be great if Apple did this, but they never will.” Yet the more I’ve thought about it, the more I’ve become convinced that this is the perfect time for Apple to make this type of product. Previous Hesitancy The

I Finally Bought a Macintosh 128K, and You Should Too

Disclaimer: OK, so it’s the Maclock, a replica model of the original Apple Macintosh 128K that stands around 11.5 cm high and adds a delightfully retro touch to my desk setup. I’m here to tell you this is as good as it looks. I’ve always wanted an early Macintosh, like the iconic 128K model, but

A ★★★½ review of Marty, Life Is Short (2026)

Perfectly enjoyable stuff with a poignant edge to it. One of the greatest to ever do it.

Probably the most badass lead performance I’ve seen in years.  “Then I was like naaah…” 🔥

No notes. Bluey is perfection.

Very disappointed Seth didn’t just kick those robot delivery buggies over like in Platonic.

I didn't really relate to that song because I had different things in my Jeep than he had in his Jeep.

A scheduling note about the podcast: Unfortunately, due to a personal matter, there will be no new episode today. We’ll be back as usual next week.

A ★★★½ review of Ready or Not 2: Here I Come (2026)

The first two acts are pretty similar to the first, if still enjoyable, so they did a good job making the third act pretty unpredictable.

A ★★½ review of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan: Ghost War (2026)

Some of the cheesiest, expository dialogue you’ll hear this year (a guy who might as well be called ‘British McBritain’ at one point sees the iconic map of central London and says “What’s that? London?”) and very an entirely predictable plot. And yet, I didn’t hate it and it does have a fun car chase across London.

The future of being trans on the internet

The internet has long been a source of information and support for transgender people. Now, trans rights and the internet itself are in a moment of crisis. What happens next?

A ★★★ review of The Punisher: One Last Kill (2026)

Some of the violence in this was actually tough to watch. I love Bernthal but I struggle to see the point in this grim tale other than to get the character to a certain point for Spider-Man.

Well, we got a load of seeds, you know, kind of in the post, and we didn’t know what they were you know, and we kind of planted them all, and five of them came up like - five of them came up illegal.

Dazz Cam

The camera has arguably become the defining feature of the iPhone. With that has come dozens (hundreds?) of third-party camera apps, all hoping to offer something different from Apple’s stock Camera app. Many, like Halide and Obscura, are the only apps some people use to take photos. Others, like !Camera and Spectre, have become secondary

A ★★★★½ review of Dust Bunny (2025)

I truly inventive, trippy tale with gorgeous visuals. If you’ve ever watched Fuller’s other works like Pushing Daisies, American Gods or Hannibal you know what to expect. The third act is an absolute delight.

Every Cloud Continues the Trend of Clever Weather Apps

The range and variety of weather apps out there is considerable, maybe more so than any other app type. It’s not surprising, either. After all, if every weather app is gathering data from the same few sources, it truly does come down to how each app presents that data. The spectrum of these types of

A ★★★ review of The Mandalorian and Grogu (2026)

This new season of The Mandalorian was fun enough but nothing special. Ludwig is still on fire, though.
