You CAN go home again, but nothing will look the same.
Steps to outrage:
1. Form a personal position on a complex issue.
2. Insist that other people agree with your position.
3. Bully, demonize, and sanction anyone who doesn't agree with your position.
I don’t have the knowledge and skills to be a true geek, but I know enough not to inject AI-generated custom code into a live platform serving thousands of users.
I’m happy to help— but I’m probably gonna teach you how to do it rather than do it for you.

Our Mastodon server host believes that have implemented an effective defense against the bots trying to join our instance. So, we are once again allowing membership applications. 🤞
Signs of a troubled project:
1. Behind schedule.
2. Over budget.
3. Shifting scope.
EfM was well represented at the Full and Equal conference.
The Full and Equal conference in Minneapolis ended with a joyous Eucharist at St. Mark’s Cathedral. The Most Rev. Sean Rowe presided and the Rt. Rev. Gene Robinson preached. After the service, all the LGBTQI+ clergy present were invited to stand in front of the altar.
Full & Equal attendees came to Minneapolis for reasons personal and historical
Steuben County is split between the NY-23 and NY-24 congressional districts. Although both Democratic candidates (Aaron Gies and Alissa Ellman) are running competitive campaigns, no one expects them to unseat the Republican incumbents.

Lockdown lifted. “Our program will begin on Thursday morning with an opportunity to gather for prayer and reflection — grieving those lost and injured and recommitting to the work of standing against the scourge of gun violence that infects our nation. “

On our way to MSP for Full and Equal: 50 Years in Pursuit of a Promise.
⚠️ We have temporarily suspended new membership applications because of a massive number of automated joining attempts. Be assured that none of these attempts were successful because our instance requires admin review of new membership applications
I haven’t been in this hospital for decades. I stumbled upon this memorial plaque. Rick and I went through paramedic training together. Years later, he and his partner died in a LifeFlight helicopter crash.
Thank you to the seven patrons who contributed a total of $53 to episcodon.net over the last month. Their generosity covers our server hosting, email hosting, and domain name registration costs. I invite other members to chip if they can.

Sadly, there was a fatal shooting near our hotel in downtown Minneapolis just before we arrived. Massive law enforcement response. It took awhile to find a safe route through the perimeter.

⚠️ UPDATED PRIVACY POLICY
Since epicodon.net is now using Waterhole to filter membership applications, we have updated our privacy policy to reflect this. Please see paragraphs two and three under *Do we disclose any information to outside parties?*
Most of my dreams have an anxiety theme: finding my car, finishing a work assignment, registering for a course I need to graduate, getting through passport control, etc.

Unfortunately, the bots are still winning. So, episcodon.net has once again closed applications for membership. Ugh!

I learned Spanish over 40 years ago. I was never proficient and I rarely have the chance to practice. But, I retain enough to work on bilingual training materials.
episcodon.net is once again accepting membership applications. All applications will be filtered through Waterhole, a new service of toot.io, which will hopefully eliminate most subscription spam.
I finally got my campaign yard signs last night. Early voting in New York begins on October 24 and runs through November 1. Election day is November 3. For the first time in years, we have a real chance of flipping NY-23.
Part of 1Password’s response to my protest:
“We recognize that Omarchy is closely associated with its founder, and that raises questions about what our support means. Our contribution is made to the Omacom Foundation, not to an individual, and is not an endorsement of any individual's personal or political views. 1Password does not endorse hateful, dehumanizing, or exclusionary views.”
