Very much appreciate @juancommander@mastodon.social's reminder to us, at the start of what promises to be a dynamic post-lunch panel at #OASPA2025 that @PublicKnowledgeProject@mastodon.social is, at root, a scholar and research led initiative. The new UKRI funding model for #OAbooks has potentially major consequences for Diamond OA long form publishing, including for our work on building @openbookcollect@mastodon.social. In this post, my @copim@hcommons.social colleagues & I welcome its key principles while asking Qs about details of implementation https://copim.pubpub.org/pub/copim-response-to-ukri-funding-mechanism-for-diamond-open-access-book-models/release/1
