The drumstick alliums have survived the heat and thunderstorms and are looking good. They are at least 3 feet tall.

Morning! Sat out having a coffee ☕️ in the morning sun. The plants and grass seem to have enjoyed the rain we had last week. The potato vine on the trellis must have grown a foot and is now over the top of the fence 👍The forecast is for more heat next week though 😬

Sat out having a coffee and noticed our choisya, which we planted last summer, has flowered for the first time.

Some photos from the short walk back from the restaurant earlier. Everywhere is really green.

The tulips and daffs have finished but are now being replaced by these alliums (I think it’s a purple rain). They’re almost 3 feet tall already.

Quick bit of dead heading at lunchtime. This ladybird looks like it’s shielding itself in a budding ox eye daisy from the glare of the California poppy 🕶️

Some photos from our visit to RHS Bridgewater this afternoon. Lovely place.

Some new daffodils starting to flower in the borders now - Narcissus 'Bridal Crown'. Quite a contrast with the miniature tete-a-tete ones in the lawn

Some more photos from this afternoons stroll around RHS Bridgewater. The weather was great. Looking forward to going again when more is in flower.

After an overcast and slightly damp weekend, it brightened up considerably today, so we took advantage…

Photo from a walk to a pub tonight. Had to make it black and white to add some atmosphere 👻

I planted the bulbs for these last autumn. It’s a bit messy but the colours 😍 Also, it feels at least 10 degrees Celsius colder than yesterday 🥶

Good to see hostas starting to do their thing. This one was propagated from one in the front garden last year. At the time chopping a plant with a spade felt too violent, but Monty said be brave. It worked

Some colourful pals whilst out gardening today.
I’m quite pleased with the way the front lawn is starting to look. Tete-a-tete daffs, muscari and crocus all coming through nicely.

Sat out in the garden for a while today to get some spring sunshine. Good to see more pot plants from last year growing ok again, including this chrysanthemum.
#gardening #spring
Put a new plant in this morning to cover a bare bit of wall eventually. A ceanothus. It’s a lemon and lime variety so the leaves are funky variegated.

Put a small code frame together so can now free up some space for more seeds in the coding shed 😊🌱

More spring hail here today. Had just been in the shed to check on the plants so just avoided it.

‘Twas a pleasant afternoon meander around Beverley.

A couple of herons flew over earlier as we sat in the garden getting some sun It’s a wildlife bonanza day so far 😀

Started hardening off the sweet peas today.

@lwdupont@mastodon.social yeah it looks good doesn’t it? I think it’s still opening so eventually will be a spherical shape.
Good to see some rooftop discipline from the gulls. You don’t get that from pigeons, uncoordinated rabble.

@redcrew@mstdn.social it came as ready made panels and I just screwed them together. Was going to make one from scratch but this was on half price offer 😊

@Alexjusino@mastodon.social it’s been a mild winter here, lots of rain though. But it’s starting to warm up. Lots of daffs and crocuses around at the moment
Did some tweaking to the dashboard view on SoloTime. I’ve added time summaries by customer and project in addition to revenue. A requested feature ✅

@newsgroup@social.vir.group the link works for me, both from the post and via a browser, so I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you 🤔
I just had some toast with smashed avocado 🥑 and Marmite ⚠️
Kind of worked 🤔
Tonight I discovered that FaceID doesn’t work when you try and unlock your phone shortly after shoving a whole Cadburys crème egg in your gob.
Hike Maker now has a lifetime purchase option for those subscription haters 😊 The monthly and yearly plan prices were also reduced recently. Might be worth a revisit if you’re into #walking #fitness or just #exploring

@techsimplified@mastodon.social Thanks! It’s just Swift, SwiftUI and SwiftData with iCloud syncing.
Couple of minor tweaks submitted for review. That’s quite enough computering for today.

I met someone today and it was his last day in work before retiring. He’d worked there 37 years and said he’d loved every minute of it. Amazing.
Just watched Begonia. What an ending!
