The issue is that, like most words, the word "theory" is used differently in different contexts. As Wikipedia puts it

But if you look at the high RWAs [right-wing authoritarians according to Bob Altemeyers scale] who do know someone gay or
lesbian, they are much less hostile toward homosexuals in general than most
authoritarians are. Getting to know a homosexual usually makes one more accepting
of homosexuals as a group. Personal experiences can make a lot of difference, which
is a truly hopeful discovery.

IMHO, the claim "A language empowering everyone to build reliable and efficient software" is ... uhm... optimistic.

@raymaccarthy @LinuxJedi C obsolete. That's a strange statement. Btw. they tried C++ for the Linux Kernel back then and deemed it as not suitable.
As Torvalds put it (far later), when someone proposed to use C++ instead of Rust as a second language in the kernel: "C++ solves _none_ of the C issues, and only makes things worse."

If Mythos is as good as they claim, then, if someone can build something so good, then someone else also can build it. Saying "that's not really a problem as long as it is available only to a few" sounds a little bit like a variant of security by obscurity
