Lyn

Just in case you haven't seen the best social media post ever, have this from Coldstuff Ice Cream who are in Blackstone, Massachusetts.

I've shared this before (and had some dudebro have a sook about it) so let's share it again because Men, you CAN call out your friends for being creepy. A conversation I overheard at a cafe: Man 1: "Yeah the physio says I'm still stiff in the back" Man 2: "I'd be stiff too if she had her hands all over me" Man 1: "Mate. No." Man 2 looks ashamed. Saw a video the other night of a man saying "Hey, kill the vibe. Your friend making gross jokes? Kill the vibe. Call him out" Chaps! Blokes! Men! CALL HIM OUT.

Well that's cheered me right up. The thing about echidnas is if you stand absolutely still, they don't notice you. Beans and Millie would like to lodge a "No, thank you" though.

Saw a question that basically read "But what if your nurse in hospital is trans?" So in that situation I would assume my nurse has completed nursing school and training and therefore not worry about it. If my nurse walked in and said "Look I'm not qualified at all but I'll give it a red hot go" that is when I would be concerned.

Cafe is quiet, everyone's home for the grand final I guess. Keira is off to a concert tonight at Rod Laver. BFF: Oh it's raining though Me: there's a roof, it was closed when I saw Simon and Garfunkel Keira: Who? Me: They were big in the 60s. I saw Cat Stevens there too. Keira: No idea who that is. Me: John Farnham? Keira: Oh I know the name BFF: Phil Collins? Keira: No Have dragged my ancient carcass home for work.

GP completed. Currently not dead but will keep you posted. She was a little miffed about the AI refusal but im still saying nah.

Back from the market. Hehehehehehehehehehe

Popped out quickly for milk, and my car stereo served up some Counting Crows which reminded me of this conversation with Mum: Mum: "What's this music?" Me: "It's 'Counting Crows'" Mum: "Oh, couldn't they find a singer?"

Brother has arrived and bless him, turned off the TV. Oh the peace.

"What's so great about Mastodon Lyn?" Someone over there is very excited about new trams, Mike is weighing stuff just coz he can, there's a photo of a dog that I do not know and will never meet, oh look some art!

Was carrying Beans about the place just to keep her used to being handled. Suddenly, her neck went up and one beady eye was on the sky which is the eagle signal. It was a plane, I think she'll be safe enough from planes.

Hey yarny types, my friend Melissa has updated her site with fresh stock (bit showy offy, I keep forgetting to do that) https://changeling-coloured-yarns.square.site/shop/yarn-in-stock-and-ready-to-go/32

The most excellent and talented Stephanie Cole has died. One of my favourite actresses, she could do a brilliant Very Stern and a brilliant Very Soft. https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/ckz7zg4ez0peo

@timrichards@aus.social I did a trip with some (no longer) friends once that involved a plane every second day, tours, events. Three weeks of just zooming about Australia. We did a balloon over Alice Springs (gorgeous) and at the breakfast after I was chatting to two older couples who head off to travel every year. They block out two months and then just drive. Something interesting? They stop. Just packed up the van and are only 30 minutes down the road but this town looks nice? Stay the night. Oh that's the dream. I wanted to stowaway in their vans and not get on another bloody plane.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Last day of my working week today as I am off tomorrow. Off work, not off like milk. I'm drinking the "fam" coffee and it's fine, but we're not getting married.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Working away like a proper adult, it's very tedious but I think they pay me (when they get around to it).

"Your game is downloaded and ready to play" Okay well tell work I can't work.

@MsDropbear42@infosec.space Oh there's no point if I suggest it, or do it. Dad turns it straight back on.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Thinking of Mum today, it's two years since she wandered off. Please enjoy this photo of her before she was even married and do not be fooled by how small and sweet that grey horse looks. Misty was a criminal mastermind. I'll have a frothy coffee later in her honour. Mum's honour, not Misty's.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. I have been for coffee with the BFF who, like a bastard, informed the staff of the birthday and I have been presented with a vanilla slice with candles in 🤣 Thank you for the birthday wishes, I am once again 21, for the 27th year on the trot. Going for the record.

Oh boo, little local yarn shop is likely closed Saturday. I'll try and see, but if she's not there I am happy to let myself in...

It's held in the British Museum btw, more info: https://www.britishmuseum.org/collection/object/E_Am-7498

Oooh friend just said her husband put her at "30 minutes a week" for domestic labour. (In the census) She's had some choice words, but a mutual friend of ours (who is a union rep) has suggested she works to rule and just do the 30 minutes a week from now on.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. It is just past 10am and I have seen a cocktail recipe that includes the entire contents of a 2 minute noodle flavour sachet and I would like to speak to an adult.

Someone who isn't me decided that a nice pile of fox shit was ideal for rolling about in. Related, Bella has a wet neck and sad ears.

Arvo Tiny Dancers. Guess who is full of coffee? It's me! I am! Hooray! Cold and rainy out there. The chooks will be let out for a little while in a minute but they won't like it. Then I'll get the fire going and do some weaving, it's a good day to stay inside and fondle yarn. Hoping to get some progress on the block carving too, we'll see. It all hinges on me NOT opening Two Point Campus.

BOTH chickens came inside today. Bella deeply unimpressed and is hoping her complaint to management will be addressed. Management will get back to her within 28 business days.

Saw one of these while I was out and it is the greatest car I've ever seen I'll take three. Suzuki X-90.

@dropbear@aus.social I asked for a hysterectomy at 17 due to 3 month long periods. No. Babies! At 30. NO!! BABIES!!! At 43 I was told I should have one. Me: "Alright cool when is that likely to be?" Surgeon: "I... normally have to talk people into them" Me: "So this year or...?"

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Two hour work break this morning so as you can guess I went for coffee. Left some Morsbags out on the railings, dunno if there are any takers but they're marked as free so someone might snaffle a couple.

A certain dog, who shall remain nameless, is insisting on a stroll and as it's a lovely sunny afternoon we shall stroll.

Arvo Tiny Dancers. Later coffee this morning, so I added lunch. Apple Crumble porridge, bloody delicious. Now I am going to wash my car. Which will be a shock for everyone. The BFF pointed out that moss grows quite slowly so it's clearly been a while. Rude. It's only a LITTLE bit of moss...

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Friday is literally Friday for me, which is fun and makes me feel like I'm down with the cool kids. I have the weekend off, is what I'm saying there.

Zipped out for dog food and popped in to see Ella at the cafe coz i haven't seen her forever and ever. Turns out I picked her birthday, so that was fun! Stupid work, keeping me from the cool barista zoology people.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Just workin' away here touching the computer, clicking the things that need clicking.

Hey, wanna see the art shop where I spent just so much money? So much.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Been out for a coffee, obvs. I think the technical term for how my town is this morning is "cluster fuck". Absolute chaos down there, cars all over the place, people backing into odd places, people ignoring other people who are crossing the road on the crossing actually. Nearly died, she said, over egging the situation for the dramas.

Tomorrow looks to be fun, I am planning to return to the art shop to get the things I forgot and then go and get some cheaparse brushes at the cheaparse shop. I do have some of Mum's brushes, but most of them were donated or dodgy.

@dropbear@aus.social Friend of mine wanted one due to endometriosis. Doctor: "What if your boyfriend wants babies?" Her: "Then we'll break up because I don't want kids" Doctor: "Well just in case, we're going to decline"

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Tis cold again, Bella is remaining in bed where she is under all the blankets and has room to spread out now the bloody human is out of the way. Working working. I got paid yesterday, doesn't seem like enough for the working but alright.

Good Morning Tiny Dancers. Been out for No Coffee - couldn't get a park and wasn't in the mood to cruise. I'll try later.

Oh, the temptings. This would make a hefty wrap!!

@MelissaBearTrix@gives.hugz.online Looks like the cafe this morning. I walked in and it was absolutely empty. Staff and I wondered if perhaps the rapture had happened and we'd been left behind. Which would track.

@timrichards@aus.social Aww come on. I used to waive fines all the time. Unless the patron was a dick. If they were a dick then I didn't have that sort of power 😇

My blank postcards arrived today (in too much bubble wrap) so now I just have to do the doing with the carving thing. I'll scrape some time together.

@MsDropbear42@blahaj.zone I think she did another one too, from memory. She was a delight.

Seeing if my idea for hearts works, which it does with some tweaking. By which I mean I should have used interfacing on the weaving before I started faffing about. The usual hearts I'm seeing in the groups are sewn with wrong sides together and then not turned, but edged with pinking shears. I do have pinking shears, they are just blunt. So this is sewn then turned out and it worked so go me.

Please appreciate my massive balls. (this is the ridiculous pakidge).
