A couple of random impressions from beyond tellerrand. I love putting these together. (The firetruck is not in there by mistake btw, there was a fire alarm at the hotel at 6 in the morning and everybody had to leave their rooms…) I am still in the process of going through all of the images to create the final gallery. Stay tuned! Also, I wanted to say, I am very grateful for the kind words I received over the last couple of days regarding the photos (in person and online) – it is very much appre

Another beyond tellerrand is in the books. I had a great time – as always. Thanks for having me, Marc! Speakers above: André Michelle, Kimya Gandhi, Bramus Van Damme, James White and Lauren Celenza. It is hard to describe the feeling I have whenever I am on my way home. I guess hopeful comes to mind (not that I feel hopeless generally, but there is definitely a lot of positive energy in the room at btconf). I definitely feel inspired and ready to get back to work, especially on my own projects l

Out and about with the little one. We took the bikes and went on a ride. Stopped at the same playground twice and we had ice cream. Pretty good day! Also very happy how the image above turned out. I always try to find new angles to shoot from. Might try a wider focal length next time. 🥁 Drumroll please: Very happy to announce that the beyond tellerrand 2026 gallery is now live! Please share far and wide!

Welcome back to the regular old mix of subjects. Today I spotted a spotted woodpecker in the backyard. I even managed to get the long lens (still not long enough though) in time to grab a couple of shots. I am on the final stretch with the beyond tellerrand images. 200 images left in the final selection. The goal is to get that number down to around 150 to make them more digestible. I find this to be a good amount that is not overwhelming while still substantial, if that makes sense. I really en

In other news, I received an email today, where my blog was mentioned in the same sentence with Daily Dose of Imagery, which in my book, was one of the greatest photo blogs ever. Made my day! In still other news, I ended up implementing my own webmentions extension for this blog. I just want
