@gedeonm@mastodon.social Sometimes you just need to take a day and watch Star Trek all day, or do some baking and send it to me for quality control. 😃

I haven't spoken about this at all, but today we sign paperwork for you new to us home.
I'm hoping it's the final home, our forever home. It's smaller, older, and has more style than the one we're in, and it sits on 4 acres of land.
Would anyone like to buy a house? Our current home goes on the market very soon. 😬

I think I have Tapestry configured the way I want. I’ve made custom timelines for folks in the Apple Community and one I call Socials that is just Mastodon and Bluesky timelines. That’s the one I spend all my time in because I use Stream for RSS reading. Love it! ❤️

@gedeonm@mastodon.social @bigzaphod@mastodon.social Sorry, Sean. There are things I want too but haven’t sent many your way.
Y’all have something special here and I can see it becoming even more so!

@neatnik@social.lol I’m looking forward to you completing Neatstats. I’ll be switching over when it’s all wrapped up! 🙏🏼
It’s probably just something I’m doing, but I dropped my beautifully crafted Iconfactory icon into my app, set it as the primary icon, built, and…
It doesn’t show. 😳
Ok, Mac Devs, what have I done wrong? 😭

@support@iconfactory.world I have a feature request for Tapestry! Allow us to post to multiple accounts at once! I’m thinking Mastodon and Bluesky!
The app is amazing and has become my daily driver!
Even my truck is an @Iconfactory@iconfactory.world fan! 😄
Inside our home 5G is terrible. Half the time we’re on a single bar of LTE. And sometimes in SOS mode.
However, out by the shed I get decent 5G. This is where I live now. 🤣

@gedeonm@mastodon.social @siracusa@mastodon.social Hopefully they’ll come back around. If they want everything to be the same, fine, do it for your stuff.
Designers and Developers should be allowed to be as creative as they want in the allowed space.
Some of the old icons are so beautiful and creative. Let’s get them back!

Help this amazing company out. Go buy a product, if you can, so they can keep making amazing things.
They also have a Patreon account that gets you some really nice benefits.
Quoting
If every single person who liked or boosted my White House UFC toot yesterday bought one of our apps instead, we’d be able to stay in business for a good while.
Please consider it, I promise I’ll keep posting funny stuff! 🙏

Well, I've managed to fix one thing in Stream for Mac this morning, but my physically tired and sore old body isn't helping with staying focused.
When I was a kid I never understood why old people couldn't do stuff. Now I know why and I really don't like it.
The sad thing is, it's my fault. I'm obese and don't exercise. If I dropped dead tomorrow I don't think anyone would be surprised. Not that I wan to drop dead, but there you go. 🤣

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Ged, I wish I had a few million bucks, I'd give you some in a heartbeat.
Of course, my willingness to give money away, is why I'm not fabulously wealthy. 🤣
Our grandson has started building his kingdom.
There was a time when Stream had some traction all because someone with a following said they liked it and it was featured by Apple not long after that.
Now it’s scraping the bottom of the barrel. It is fine. It’s a very minimum app, intentionally and because of time constraints, but I will keep plugging away on it as time permits.
Maybe one day it will be feature rich enough for people to enjoy. Until then I’ll keep hammering away at it.

I have a difficult time believing this is how it will look.
It’s… ugly. 😳
These dudes just kill Subdivisions. They make it their own but respect everything Rush did. So good.

Just finished getting the tires back on the trailer. That was a much bigger chore than I expected.
I’m pooped out. Time to eat.
Ok, so, my phone was in my truck. I’m out working on the trailer. I come back to my truck to take a break. Pick up my phone and there’s a tiny tick on it? WTF DUDE! 😳
Must’ve blown in the window?

@isaiah@mastodon.social @marcpalmer@iosdev.space At work I’ve been using TypeScript and React Native and the apps are pretty darned good. Microsoft even did React Native for Windows, so you could probably get pretty far with it.
The Native in React Native means native platform controls. So you get UIKit Buttons, Views, TableViews, etc. The resulting apps are quite good.

As for cross compiling, yes! That’s the plan! 👍🏼 Most likely a new UI per platform, sharing as much as I can.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social Y'all are so small I'm really surprised a bigger software company hasn't approached you about acquiring you. Great designers and developers, along with a talented supporting crew. It would make for a great acquihire if nothing else.
Apple needs to get their act together and give you a bunch of money to go to work for them as a collective. 🤣
Adobe would also be a good fit for y’all, in my opinion, and they have a shop there in North Carolina.

@gedeonm@mastodon.social @piraino@mastodon.art Y'all took it to the next level and I'm extremely grateful and can't wait to get a chance to finish off what I'm doing so I can actually ship it to the world!
In the meantime, if you want to show it anywhere, you're welcome to. I don't have a need to be the first. My app is inconsequential in the world of apps. The icon, however, is stunning! Y'all killed it!

I was very tempted to ask Claude to do some code for me today.
I feel like what I want for a 1.0 release is very close and want to get it out the door. Mainly so I feel like I can sit back and think about the Mac and iOS versions together and get some Mac features over to iOS.
I also need to do some parsing of web pages since folks often don’t do full text in their RSS feed. I hate that but it must be done.
