@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu the solution is easy, stop private equity, and stop business arround hausing, and then, the problem will solve by themself.

@carlrichell @moonleay nothing like breaking linux, to learn how to fix it (replace linux with almost anything)

@nina_kali_nina@tech.lgbt maybe gog games? I expect you can do some tricky ways, but as everything needs to get updates, I expect will be hard.

@nixCraft@mastodon.social https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4FZy1lBNykA this is the real problem, they need to make us poor, and more poor, no matter what.

@nixCraft and how many people is not sharing his stadistics in linux? usually linux users are more in the direction of not sharing information.

@hszakher@mastodon.world @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu Yeah, politicians, they love absolute numbers, but any science person know that absolute numbers means nothing. Still, maybe this 1.8 billions are to put laws, and huge fines for all this companies that make our life miserable in the housing department

@moonleay @carlrichell I remember once that I broke my Xorg config just before an exam. (Yes, it was an update of debian testing)

Replying to
@nixCraft@mastodon.social it remembers to the topic, in some month we will have auto-pilot driving without any intervention from humans. (or the wanted tesla roadster?)

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @dorianlebg@piaille.fr Sorry, I promise, is the last message, This is the source of the swift app that generates what I shared yesterday: https://gitlab.com/dracks/pepper-and-carrots-epub

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org Looking into it, in my e-reader, I think the only one that I've got with good metadata is a spyXFamily commic in epub with drm removed. (I bought that)
Replying to
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu please, can you start pushing our tech comanies in europe? like jolla or volla?????

@seshpenguin@social.sineware.ca Maybe the plasma TV version will be better for this device, right?
@frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org is the countdown a little bit ahead of itself?

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org @dorianlebg@piaille.fr Hey, still working on it, but based on dorian code (well also migrated to swift, I like swift) I can generate this: https://limewire.com/d/sGTLy#L8JhrkTeMT First 10 chapters in an epub, with Table of contents working. When I will have things slightly improved, I will publish the code :)

@ploum@mamot.fr interesting article! I have things in github, but in the last years I start moving things out... but at the end... my projects are small. It's sad that not more projecte like zig followed zig aproach.

@daniel@gultsch.social Is it opensource? then anybody can compile it right? Still thanks for sharing it (I don't have jabber/xmpp since long time ago)
Replying to
@nixCraft@mastodon.social that ad, looks like and anti-ad. Is like they are proud of people killing themself because of his machine
Replying to
@dorianlebg@piaille.fr @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org love Opensource! I see that the comics you generated are the french ones, right? Also there is no metadata in the CBZ, I was looking yesterday to see how can be added metadata to a cbz: https://github.com/comictagger/comictagger/blob/develop/comicapi/comicarchive.py

@papuass@toot.lv @nixCraft@mastodon.social oh, thanks! I never look at the alt of a picture

@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org I'm busy, you know XMas time, but do you accept help? maybe I can take a look into that when Xmas time is over :) (I don't warranty anything, but cbz/cbr were a simple zip)
Replying to
@geerlingguy@mastodon.social 300€ for the pi5 with 16GB of ram, not bad! It's impossible lately to buy anything. (hope my rpi keeps working for a long time!)
Replying to
@davidrevoy@framapiaf.org one question, will it be possible to download the webcomics chapters as e-pub/cbz or similar? thanks!
Replying to
@EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu the solution is always the same, it's called education! No stupid laws to make opensource impossible, or to allow goverments to control his citizens. Control was never the solution, and it will never be!
Replying to
@dragonfi@social.jsteuernagel.de @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu yeah, sorry. My english is not the best (also I was working, and I got a little bit furius with EU with his stupid post)
Replying to
@lina that's what they are, an alucination machine, with a little luck, you get something that can be used!
Replying to
@dorianlebg@piaille.fr @davidrevoy@framapiaf.org After investigating a little bit, seems that CBZ/CBR doesn't have an standard of metadata, but multiple options to include it: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/CBR_and_CBZ#Metadata

@gamingonlinux We've been waiting for it since long time ago... (for me, since I had a SteamDeck)
@frameworkcomputer@fosstodon.org A Keyboard, really? Well, at least will be a device for DIY people, maybe something good will happen at the end... Loved the FW 13 Pro!

@dragonfi@social.jsteuernagel.de @EUCommission@ec.social-network.europa.eu In fact, Turist appartments, and similar kind of cheap quick money, generates something similar to what you are descriving, as converts the citys into a thematic park, the shops stop being shops for the citizens but get converted to shitty restaurants or suvenirs, and convert parks into turist attractions. (See barcelona)
