mastodon 4.6.9Payments Made Easy. We're an open source, noncustodial wallet aiming to make crypto simple for all.
The age of privacy in crypto started 12 years ago, with a little thing called Monero.
That humble beginning on a thread on the Bitcoin Talk forum was the start of a revolution, a world where real people could gain the real privacy they needed.
Thank you, Monero 🧡
Self-custody is a non-negotiable at Cake Wallet. That’s why, in 2024, we did something painful: we hit pause on our Lightning integration.
We saw too many wallets "solving" Lightning by forcing users into custodial shortcuts. We tried the best-known decentralized alternatives at the time, but the user experience just wasn't there.
We chose to wait for the right tech rather than ship a bad experience.
That tech is Spark. ⚡️
By leveraging Spark and the new Breez SDK, we’ve closed the gap.
One app, everything you need for Bitcoin.
⛓️ On-chain
⚡️ Lightning
🔀 Payjoin v2
🤫 Silent Payments
Cake Wallet is a 1-of-1 Bitcoin wallet.
Lightning is just a tap away ⚡️
Have you tried it yet, anon?
No better way to properly test Lightning in Cake Wallet than to have our CEO, Vik Sharma, buy a few beers at PubKey NYC 🫡
Ever wanted to use accounts for your wallets but not sure where to start? Cake Wallet's latest release makes it easier than ever before.
But why use accounts at all?
While most of us are used to different types of accounts in the traditional world, in crypto we've gotten far too used to lumping all of our money into one place. That donation you received? The paycheck from your freelance job? The share of lunch you split with a friend?
For too long the crypto space has been plagued by a new trilemma. To achieve any one of these, you usually had to sacrifice one or both of the others.
We're solving this trilemma at Cake.
We've always given you control over your keys and every feature in Cake.
But we thought it was finally time to give you proper control over how Cake looks and make it truly yours.
Say hello to card customization in Cake Wallet 👀
Customize every balance and account card, with multiple designs and colors to choose from. This customization makes it easy to recognize your accounts at a glance, differentiate between on-chain and Lightning, or simply give Cake a look that is entirely yours.
