If I had known, in my younger and more vulnerable years, that Jonathan Harker's hair was white AND he becomes an action hero I would have had a crush on him sooner.

Back on October 2, Harker writes of Mina: "The dear girl was more affectionate with me than ever, and clung to me as though she would detain me; but there was much to be talked of and I came away."
Did they have a quickie before he joined the men for planning? Good on them!

It's Pi day AND I have a new story out AND my newsletter just dropped!

@anon_opin@mastodon.social I don't know where you are, but for me, eye exams are required every time you renew your license in person.
I failed the test the first time I ever took it (nerves got to me), and have been terrified of it since. Then I learned you can get an official note from your eye doctor, explaining your status. Godsend.
@Emmacox@writing.exchange I think you just jump.

@cara Welcome and nice to meet you.
I, too, love stationery. I have more card and postcards than I know what to do with, and can't stop buying them!
Wanna listen to a story about a priest, a woman, a demon, and the Blessing of the Throats?

Today is Jan 6 and while certain events 4 years ago have almost ruined the other significance of that date for me, at least I can escape into one of my fav Tanith Lee stories. So I'm sharing it with you. http://www.daughterofthenight.com/tlb230a.pdf
I wrote this a while ago. Maybe someone will enjoy it, if in a bleak way.

I can't believe I forgot to share this on Halloween. Oh, well.

Oh no!
(And neither obituary I've read even mentions OVER THE GARDEN WALL, which is a crime against all things good and pure.)

You can check out my sick meme game in my latest author newsletter. I also get a little political; wonder if I'll lose any followers. https://buttondown.com/AuthorLevai/archive/ive-been-making-memes/
Today is the 68th anniversary of Russian tanks rolling through Budapest, which reminds me that my grandparents didn't risk everything fleeing that country so I could sit on my butt and NOT vote. Good on me, I already did.
@fehrtrade@toot.community I wish I could sew. I used to, if not particularly well. But I lost my permanent sewing machine setup when my second kid was born, and every time I think of a project, the idea of dragging the machine out, finding a place to set it up, and invariably having to put it away later that day, drains me.
I guess I'll just express myself in writing for now.
@fehrtrade@toot.community What an accomplishment!

Well, now, garlic bread...
