I find it a little bit funny that me, a person who deeply loves technology, playing videogames and most things I enjoy happen on the computer. I have been making an effort to move to doing things on paper, by hand, by myself whenever possible. Playing tabletop games and RPGs. Writing things down with a pen instead of a note app.

This modern world is wacky.

Today, in between watching the 24h of Nürburgring race, going out to play Battletech, and coming back home, I also have been working on the lore and the custom emblem of my personal Mercenary Company for the game of Battletech. I took a cool IRL fighter squadron emblem, and edited it with my own colors:

I have been trying to juggle too many while also being busy studying, not a good time 😅
I started to bleed MMR on Mechabellum
the one strategy game I enjoyed so much I actually WANTED to play ranked
then I was also playin Tyr the tank game
re-learning how to simrace with Automobilista 2
learning how to race ovals in Nascar Racing 2003
now that I changed my ISP I can finally play MechWarrior Living Legends again after so many years (Steam release soon!)
and how I went super hard to finish Ace Combat 8 last weekend

I'm switching ISPs this week. Might be out of internet JUST on the day that Ace Combat 8 releases for play, and while I've been playing a ton of Mechabellum, even in ranked. Gonna be annoying to say the least!

We were already looking into switching, to get a cheaper plan without landline phone and cable TV, just the internet. And then, in the middle of that we found out that the old ISP is about to readjust our plan effective October 1st, increasing the price by 30% and locking it in for the next few months, so we emergency ejected into the new fiber plan we were looking into. Unfortunate timing that AC8 got caught in the middle of it.

Today's air base visit really got me hyped as FUCK for Ace Combat 8, so I got home and got the game preload going.

Also, got me thinking of seeking jobs at the aerospace industry again. I really should get to that.

I have had an AMAZING day today. Stayed up late last night to watch the WEC 6h of Fuji race, then got woken up this morning by the sound of jet engines flying overhead. Turns out it's the yearly Air Sunday event the Air Force holds, so we had breakfast then went out to go enjoy it at the open airbase. They had several aircraft on display, aerial demonstrations, flybys, and even a drift show! I left smelling of burnt tire smoke.
Got back home, ordered a nice lunch, and then Pacific Rim, my favorite movie ever, was on TV. Just great overall.
