I'm currently reading "Nuclear War: A Scenario" by Annie Jacobsen. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/182733784 It is an excellent but rather terrifying read, so far. #books #reading @mfeir@mstdn.social @bookstodon@fedigroups.social

I didn't make the connection, at first, when I started reading this book, but then I realized I'd read about this expedition before. It took me more time to figure out what I had read, and I finally know the answer to that. In 2022, I read "Empire of Ice and Stone: The Disastrous and Heroic Voyage of the Karluk" by Buddy Levy. Published in 2022. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/59808184 I gave it a 5 star rating. I think I will move on to something else, as there are a lot of parallels between the two books. #books #reading

I am currently reading "Marmee & Louisa: The Untold Story of Louisa May Alcott and Her Mother" by Eve LaPlante. Published in 2012. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/13547659 This is a very interesting read, so far. A lot of history in this book. #books #reading
