I am seeing more posts and calls for submissions that note “no ai” but it’s ok for brainstorming or storyboarding or blah blah blah… “No ai” should mean just that #noai

While reading Murakami’s “The City and its Uncertain Walls” I came across a weird symbol near the spine on page 38. Part of me knows it’s a print artifact, but another hopes it’s more: a mystery; a gateway; a sign. Yeah, that’s how deeply I read. #Writing #WritingCommunity #Reading

Went to a Loblaws store self checkout and found: a) a camera aimed at my face; b) a camera aimed at the scanner; c) ai recognition of items. There were no indications of filming, consent, change or procedure. Therefore, I am no longer a client. I would rather be “educated” and have a generalist background than be “schooled” for a specific task. University (the Canadian term) should be for personal growth, critical thinking, how to be a good person in society. I know it isn’t. That’s too bad. #Education #Society
