I like fixing old problems that other people abandon, dump, or actively left for dead during the commission of a crime.

@sundogplanets@mastodon.social why not use completely different materials for future launches? I don't think paint is the right idea.

In order to believe a faster solar powered laptop is possible, it’s necessary to first build a “slow” one (by today’s plugged in standards).

"The goal of Phonbloks was never to develop a phone. It was just an idea to get people thinking about e-waste and propose and alternative. For us a modular phone was a 15 year goal to work towards. Because it means rebuilding our current technology in a completely new way. Not an easy task."
https://www.onearmy.earth/project/phonebloks
I asked a friend how such a project could have ended so early despite a promising idea. He said it was likely burnout, and many factors, like it generating flamewars, not being 1/2

Replying to
@mrgrumpymonkey@mastodon.social @coreforge@furry.engineer I like to make computers easier to understand. It's true they can appear complicated and even I don't know much about electrical engineering but a lot of complex circuits are just based on simple concepts: cpu= central processing unit= a general purpose processor =am4; pci-e= storage and video bus for disk/m.2 and graphics card, HUB= bus lanes for pci-e. Like high speed rail.
